I made this picture after the sunset and without artifical light

According to the legend, Our Lady appeared here and the site became a place of pilgrimage that was visited a lot during the Middle Ages. The "Chapel of Memory" is built in the place where the Virgin appeared. Inside there are blue and white azulejos which tell the story of the Sanctuary.

The monument was built in 1715 on a 135m high cliff and it is known under the name of "Nossa Senhora's sanctuary do Cabo" or "Santuário da Pedra Mua". In the church there are altar pieces and paintings from the 18th century as well as the small statue of Our Lady do Cabo.

Today, this sanctuary is practically in ruins.

No artificial illumination around.

Só lamento o santuário estar quase em ruínas.Além de ter uma história mística é um lugar muito bonito.A foto ficou linda sem luz artificial e os últimos raios do sol lhe deram um ar mágico. Um pov maravilhoso.

Conheço a foto do Robi, dramática, céu vermelho, e ele parece ter tido dias deliciosos aí:)
esta aqui está com um céu tão dramático como aquele, só que a impressão que causa é de outra ordem, mais pacificadora, eu diria.
Gostei do enquadramento e desse azul profundo que domina a imagem.
Este lugar é extraordinário, assim como sua foto.

J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance rendue à travers cette composition. Il émane un sentiment particulier difficile à expliquer, mais, une chose est certaine, la réalisation est excellente.

Hello Aires,

It's always very difficult for take a picture with to a few light, also with a strong backlight to the sky.
Fine picture on TE.
Splendid shadows with the chiurch in background, nice autumn picture.
Very well composition, attractive of colours to the sky, pleasure for look it. Very well done, TFS.

the photo seems to be slightly tilted to the right, but other than that - it's great, I like a lot the strong perspective and the way you have composed the shot. the golden light in the sky fits very well the story in the note, excellent work.

great the perspective and the POV that lead the eyes to the end of the Chapel.The balance of the scene is succeeded with the cross in the foreground.The subdued light, with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a great shot.The silhouettes of the buildings,make the capture more interesting.

Está lindíssima, Aires. Aquelas labaredas a sairem por detrás da igreja são espectaculares e conseguiste um bom 1ºplano com a cruz bem visível no céu. Há pouca luz nas fachadas mas ainda mostram detalhe suficiente para apreciarmos a arquitectura. Boa hora em que eles 'correram' com os carros daqui ;-)

Interesting way of using the cross in the composition!
The Blue Hour puts its clear mark on this composition, and the golden clouds in the horizon add a fine contrast...

Olá Aires,
O PdV, enquadramento e tratamento de luz e cores estão fabulosos. A sensação de perspectiva é fortíssima e é fantástico a forma como o cruzeiro e a igreja dominam a imagem, acentuando o seu ar "divino", para o qual tb. contribui muito o pôr do sol lá ao fundo. O detalhe nas sombras está no ponto. Interrogo-me se aquela aparência granulada das paredes é completamente natural ou se denota ruído (que seria compreensível e dificilmente evitável), mas nunca será um defeito.
