Hi dear TE friends

Another picture from Sesimbra. I made this picture in a very cloudly day.

The pleasant little fishing town of Sesimbra, below rugged red cliffs on the southern slopes of the Serra da Arrábida, is also a popular seaside resort.

Townscape. The promenade along the shore is lined with simple white houses and a few smaller hotels, with the larger hotel complexes outside the center. Fishing still dominates the scene, however, together with tourism. Visitors can watch the fishermen mending their nets on the beach, or see them unloading their catch in the harbor at the western end of the town. The spectacle is particularly lively when the fish are auctioned, and the freshly landed fish and other seafood can be sampled in the relaxed atmosphere of one of the town's restaurants.

Sesimbra is a municipality of Portugal, in the Setúbal district, lying at the foothills of the Serra da Arrábida, a mountain range between Setúbal and Sesimbra.

Due to its particular position at the Bay of Setúbal, near the mouth of the Sado river and its natural harbour, it’s an important fishing town, with a total area of 195.0 km² and a total population of 37,567 inhabitants. From Wikipedia

Hi Aires,
I love images of fishing boats and marina's. Your capture of this fishing boat is fabulous. I love the colours and especially the reflections. The distant view is great too.

Excelente foto! A nitidez é ótima e as cores são lindas, especialmente as do barco, muito bem duplicadas no espelho d'água! A iluminação também chama a atenção, trazendo ênfase ao primeiro plano, onde está a real atração da foto!

Hello Aires.
A sipmle photograph again...but with some great elements. the layers are so well handled, the eye and bow in the forground...the hill/mountain behind...the thick clouds adding weight to the sky. A nice demonstration of life on the water in your part of town...!

Olá Aires,
even in that weahter a colourful shot with vivid colours. The composition is nice and I like the reflection. The sharpness gets a bit lost in the depth, I think this is the only thing you paid to the weather.

Olá Aires, está muito bonita, com este barco colorido e os seus reflexos ao sol a contrastar com o fundo à sombra. Esta é a vista que conheço mais, pois vendi umas caminhadas que começavam no sítio da tua foto anterior e iam até aqui. Nem acho a vista de Sesimbra gira, pelo excesso de contrucções desordenadas, mas a tua foto até a faz parecer engraçada.

I`ve been to Sesimbra long time ago but I`ve never seen the city from this side.And when I was there about 25 years ago all these bib hotels weren`t there.
Good composition with the colorful boat as foreground for the city and the hills in the shadow behind.Fantastic colors of the sea and nice reflections.

Muito bonita esta foto desta pequena traineira bastante colorida.
E os reflexos distorcidos estão "deliciosos".
Cores perfeitas.
Gostei do fancto de teres dado uma boa profundidade de campo aqui...poruqe é interessante apreciar-se a vila de Sesimbra lá ao fundo.
Bom trabalho.
Também andei por Sesimbra à pouco tempo e também me deliciei a fotografar este barcos no Porto de Abrigo...talvez pulbique algumas.

Bela foto destacando este belo e colorido barco de pesca tão tipico de Sesimbra e outros portos portugueses.
A luz que incide sobre ele é magnifica e evidencia bem as cores assim como os seus reflexos na agua.
A vista da vila ao fundo 'aos pés' do monte é um belissimo pano de fundo para esta bela foto.

Olá Aires,
Para além da beleza da imagem e do sítio, reparei noutra coisa. O nome do barco, o olho místico pintado na proa, e os meios de salvamento e o radar em cima. Conclusão: nem o poder de Deus nem o olho protector dão confiança total; pelo sim pelo não é melhor acrescentar um radar e as boias e salva-vidas.
Claro que isto sou eu a divagar, pois aqueles elementos de segurança são obrigatórios por lei.
Bom, é uma excelente foto. Só é pena é Sesimbra ter cada vez mais prédios espalhando-se pela encosta.

The distorted reflection of the colourful boat is most attractive, personally I prefer slightly distorted reflections to the perfect ones...
