Hi Trekearth friends,

This is the famous place "Cabos Espichel", in English Espichel Cape.

The Espichel Cape is near of the Sesimbra village, is delimited the south and west for the Atlantic Ocean and the north for national road number 379 and Ribeira dos Caixeiros

Sesimbra is a municipality of Portugal, in the Setúbal district, lying at the foothills of the Serra da Arrábida, a mountain range between Setúbal and Sesimbra.

Due to its particular position at the Bay of Setúbal, near the mouth of the Sado river and its natural harbour, it’s an important fishing town, with a total area of 195.0 km² and a total population of 37,567 inhabitants.

Que grandes cores. O cabo Espichel é um "fenomeno" da natureza bem impressionante. Todo aquele tamanho, a força do mar e o vento são def acto impressionantes. Boa perspectiva.

Lovely ocean scene. The colour of the water is very nice but it seem that the sunlight at the moment was very bright. Good perspective of the cliffs falling against the water. Thanks for this picture Aires.

Olá Aires,

Habituaste-nos a um nível mais elevado e, por vezes saem fotos menos conseguídas. É que que me parece ser o caso na minha humilde opinião de quem anda a aprender a fotografar.
As cores não me parecem boas,a segunda escarpa parece desfocada bem como o resto do mar.
Amigo, mais sincero não posso ser,mas o TE é para isto, ou estou errado.

Como diz o Fred, o Cabo Espichel é um fenómeno mas, o principal ponto é a geologia que se pode admirar nas falésias. Na tus foto vê-se um carreiro que desce a encosta, suponho que até à água. Deve ser um caminho de pescadores, pois não sei se ali haverá alguma praia. Não muito longe dái, existem umas pegadas de dinossauros e muitos outros fosseis podem ser encontrados nos clacários da região. A Serra da Arrábida é uma zona lindíssima. Gosto muito da tua imagem. Está muito boa.

A nice PoV to get a comprehensive view, I like the small (light?)houses sittimg at the top of these impressive cliffs for it makes them even more impressive considering how tiny it is. What spoils the impression to some degree is that you have burned the water whites.

Well composed from an ideal perspective. This is an exciting place and I can almost hear the pounding waves. My only slight irritant is that the surf is overexposed, though the overall effect is wonderful. I like the view of the buildings at the top of the cliff. Well captured and have a good weekend.

Ainda a uns dias atras andei nesta zona mas não me atrevi a chegar tão perto da berma pois estava um dia muito ventoso e não estava com grande disp+osição para queda livre:)
Gosto imenso da vista que nos mostras com os penhascos, estoicamente voltados para este mar furioso que bate sem parar nas rochas lá em baixo.
Interessante este caminho que serpenteia pelo penhasco mais à frente se bem que não me parece que algum dia me aventuraria a passear-me por ele.

Bom dia Aires, esta zona é-me muito familiar, devido às caminhadas que já tinha referido. Aliás, dá para perceber bem aquele carreiro espectacular a zig-zaguear pela encosta abaixo - tive pessoal que não conseguiu fazê-lo devido à excessiva inclinação e outros fizeram-no de gatas. Gosto muito da composição dos dois dentes e da cor do mar e da textura da rocha lá em baixo que me faz lembrar a carapaça de um dinossaurio.
