Today is Sunday and I'm showing you a new Church. In this case we can see the ensemble called the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua, implanted in the extremity of the Cape Espichel

In this case is a The Church of Nossa Senhora do Cabo is located in Cape Espichel municipality of Sesimbra, parish of Castelo, Distrito de Setúbal. Built in the eighteenth century is back to the sea.

Inside the church, we stress the illusionistic ceiling painting outlook painted by Lorenzo da Cunha, in order of D. John V in 1740, which remains the only work of this artist in this whole country.

In the main chapel of the temple - which includes ten altars offered by the "candles" or pilgrimage to Lisbon, Almada, Palmela, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Caparica, Azeitão Arrentela / Amora.

Along with the buildings of Hostels for the pilgrims, a Water House and its Aqueduct, an opera house and the Memory Chapel - built on the cliffs of the headland, the site where the image would have been found - the Church of Our Lady Cape Town is part of the Shrine of Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua
