The Portuguese Light III Photo

Photographer’s Note

Third in the serie about Portuguese Light, this one still was taken in Seixal, more precisely on one of its main squares.
A garden, a kinder garden fills the center of it, while the surrounds are mainly occupied by cafés, restaurants and the nautic association of Seixal and of course Seixal's Comunist Party base you seen on the previous photo.
Once again the remaining light hitting softly the buildings facades created a warm atmosphere in the whole picture, and it's that kind of atmosphere I've been trying to recreate on the serie 'til now.

In the continuation I may try to get different but still, IMO, interesting lights.

Hi Paulo - you've captured the low (evening?) light very well. The buildings glow with the last of the days rays - you can almost feel the warmth radiating from them. The reflections are a nice little bonus. Beautiful colours too.

Hello Paulo, I think that you have succeeded in creating the atmosphere you were trying to achieve.
The light feels warm as it highlights the lovely colours of the buildings, and the reflection is a wonderful bonus.The curve of the pool is a good contrast with the straight lines of the houses.

Bem esta demais quando abri a foto nem reparei de quem era e perguntei-me quem foi o "gajo" que fez isto, ainda bem que foi um amigo. Pois esta com uma luminosidade fantástica e umas cores naturais muito boas, também tenho reparado que as Olympus E-300 e 500 têm umas lentes muito boas.Paulo já vi a tua serie e é fantástica depois vou comentar (estive de férias).Reparei que ocultas a hora da foto já que que o tema é a luz fazia sentido ver esse pormenor :)

Hi Paulo,
I agree, IMO, very interesting light. The light is so soft, the shadow to the right is barely a stop or two down on the main scene.
Like your composition and POV as well, the bridge and reflection add a lot to the shot.

Bonjour Paulo,
très bonnes lumières lumières chaudes pour étendre sur l'écran, cette scène remplie de douceur et de calme. Les reflets dans tout doucement, mais restituent avec fidélité, le décor.

Bom dia Paulo, onde é que está a pessoinha? ;-) Luz é a coisa mais importante em fotografia, portanto podes continuar com esta série para sempre, pois é um prazer olhar para estas cores quentes de final de tarde. Boa composição de fachadas interessantes e excelente aproveitamento dos reflexos deste lago dos patos.

I will never be bored to see those beautiful Portugese façades and will be appreciation your decision to present them under that lovely, warm Portugese light. I can even smell the mediterranean wind over there.

A pleasant city view here with typical warm colors and feeling,
typical for you,original reflects caught,very nice one,it's true
that you did cut an antenna on the top but is not relevant.

Hello Paulo,
The light is really wonderful and gives impressive colors on these pastel walls. I like the reflection in front but I must say I am not fully convinced by the composition. I think I would have cropped the right part to concentrate on the nice curve in the foreground and on the reflection.
I proposed you a quick ws to illustrate my words.

Hello Paulo,

I notice the clever use of present light, making the well lit building reflect from the pond in the shade!
The warm light creates fine colours and the scene is well framed with fine details...
A well balanced composition with fine lines!

otra bella foto de las bonitas fachadas de Seixal, bajo una gran luz con un ángulo que da unos tonos cálidos y unas elegantes sombras.
En la composición has añadido el excelente efecto gráfico de los reflejos en el agua, que aumenta la calidad de la imagen.

Your lovely series continues...this light is delicious as it lights up the lovely facades. Inclusion of the water body in the FG is a big plus, because of the reflections. The stone bridge on the right creates a good lead-in. Well done my friend & am thirsty for more in this series!
