Photographer’s Note
Back after a large break, mostly because I'm enjoying more getting out and shooting than be at home attached to the PC screen.
Today I start another serie, about the famous Portuguese light.
It's not the first time that quality of the light in Portugal is mentioned as being different than in other countries and as having something special.
Well, with this serie (not sure if long or not) I want to try to show a bit of that light.
Here we are on the street that passes right besides Seixal's Bay at the end of the afternoon. The sun was minutes away of setting down for one more day but was still hiting the walls of this houseline enough to create this warm atmosphere.

Bonsoir Paulo

Hi Paulo,
Indeed very beautiful light of the setting sun in this picture. I like the warm colours and the shadows very much. Only point of critique is about the composition. I would have liked a "wider" view here, the framing is a bit too narrow for my taste.
PS: I Love Portugese light too ;-) so I'll keep a close watch on this series.

I like your view over this street, romantic and the silouette brings some life to the photo like walking home after a hard day at work, tfs.

Hello Paulo,
Yes for sure, this light is really outstanding and I am eager to see your serie. The golden tones on these walls are wonderful and I like the inclusion of this man walking.
I am just note really found of this KIA sign on the wall and I think I would have erased it?
Have a nice day.
Best regards, Christian

Ola amigo,
Good decision to keep out more for photos, indeed, TE is nothing more than killing valuable time, the server is still not that good.
I am not a fan of Kia Motors ad here, but i am surely in awe of that magic Portugese light and those beautiful façades. The figure passing by, is an essential element.
All the best,
Deniz

ric

Hi Paulo!
I don't know if it's a special "Portuguese" light, but it's surely a magic light for this excllent architecture photo! Great framing, composition and perspective, fantastic colours and the lonely man walking, adding a melancholic tone the this excellent photo! Congratulations!

Josep

Hi Paulo,
the diagonal perspective works well here, but as you wrote the clear warm light is the real subject of this pleasant shot.
Tfs and best wishes.

Ola my friend Paulo
The light sure is warm & quite delicious. It is the type of light which makes good photographs. Neatly composed in a diagonal with the light hitting on the wall of the old house very nicely. The road leads us nicely into the picture & then curves away. I was wondering of a slight shift of the camera to the left to get the full shadow of the lamp on the left...
Best Regards
Angshu
