Shark Attack Photo

Photographer’s Note

A break on my series "a day in my life" as I have to arrange some more photos to get the right sequence of it.

I profit to show you a rare attempt on reflections, something much more usual to see on Teresat gallery than in mine.
Normally I go more for the overall approach than the detailed one.

Obviously the title as everything to do with the piece of wood (I suppose) that was floating at the water surface when I was shooting the reflections.
I didn't have too much expectations the day I went near the bay, as it was very near to lunch times when I left home, but suddenly the sun went behind some clouds and the light was being filtered and not so harsh as it usually does without clouds in the sky.
The waters at the bay went unusually calm and everything combined to have just this slight water movement.

This is a bit of the story behind this photo...

Indeed this wooden item looks like a wing of a shark!But the great point of the image is the simplicity under the special light conditions that gives an artistic sense to the image.Nice story behind...

haha, acho que devias por isto na categoria de humor, Paulo. Gosto da pintura ao estilo Teresa. Nem percebo bem por que não está a ser tão apreciada. Esta superfície leitosa cheia de argolas faz-me mergulhar numa dimensão paralela à realidade que é o que eu gosto nas imagens abstractas. De repente fez-me lembrar um pouco a pintura dos nenúfares de Manet. Ou será Monet? Estou sempre a confundi-los.

Uma foto com muita imaginação, eu gosto!Tem certamente um toque à medida da Teresa,menos ao teu estilo fotográfico conhecido mas por vezes mudamos.Boa composição,abstracta? minimalista? não sei, foi o tiro do momento porque passava lá o "tubarão" e tu captastes a ocasião:)

tienes razón, este tipo de composiciones es más habitual en el trabajo de Teresa (un fuerte abrazo para ella) que en el tuyo.
Me gusta su resultado abstracto por la luz, los brillos y los reflejos en esta textura del agua ondulada.
Buen ojo para ver esta toma y este encuadre cerrado, y para dar un bonito grafismo a la imagen.

A superfície está linda, com variedades de reflexos e tons decorrentes dos movimentos da agua muito interessante. O resultado gráfico está muito bom.
