Photographer’s Note

Last week before the holliday of the 25th of April, I went back near the bay and waited for the sunset to come.
It was a hot night, the tide was high, almost no wind, the perfect set to keep me near the bay and try some long exposures, even more as, for once, I had brought the tripod with me, yes I'm a lazy guy:)
One of the images I could get was this one, is it worth? is it a cliché? was this already seen? surely yes, but this is one of my favourite themes so I decided to move on, now it's up to you to give your opinion.

olá, mais uma grande fotografia. a composição está muito boa e as cores em tons de azul também! gosto muito dos reflexos dos barcos na água que mais parece um manto de veludo!! parabéns. pedro

Olá Paulo,
perfecto trabajo con el tiempo de exposición y la pequeña abertura, con los que has conseguido una imagen bellísima, con un ambiente de calma, una bonita luz y unos espléndidos colores de tonos azulados y dorados.
El ángulo de toma es muy bueno, con un buen encuadre y un buen equilibrio de los elementos, sobre todo estos barcos con los mástiles inclinados.
Un gran trabajo, y una gran foto, amigo mío.

Not a cliche at all for me as someone who lives by the sea. Blue dominance is nice, and I particularly like the subtle hues on the boats themselves. Excellent composition, too. Oh, tripod is your friend :). Regards,

Bonita foto. Deu me vontade de ir a Setubal, cidade que conheco pouco mas do que vi gosto. Gostei do enquadramento dos barcos e definicao de todo o ambiente que os rodeia. Continua, abraço

Linda foto, Paulo. A pouca luz do fim de dia iluminou perfeitamente a proa dos barcos e permitiu mostrar bons detalhes nos mesmos. Os mastros inclinados dão um dinamismo fantástico à imagem. Vê-se que o ambiente estava extremamente calmo pois os 15 segundos de exposiçào não se notam mesmo nada nos mastros. É um trabalho muito bom.

The more I see long exposure photos and the more I think that numeric sensor like them and produce beautiful colors with it.
The clearness of this image is wonderful and I love the blue / purple tones of this sunset light.

Spectacular long exposure with its unique blue tones. Yellow and black colored sails will be increase ancient mood there if there is a possibility to prevent city lights. Excellent one in perfect clarity and sharpness with natural colors.

Bonjour Paulo,
la photo est très reposante. Le temps de pose de 15 secondes a permis de lisser la surface de l'eau.
Le Portugal fait partie des pays où le printemps a été doux. En Belgique, on a battu des records historiques de pluie.
Magnifique couleur inhabituel.
Un tout bin cadrage à mon goût.

Hello Paulo, todos os assuntos todas as fotografias já tem sido tomados ligeiramente sobre todo, mas penso que tens razão de nós proposto das vistas que continuam-lhe pessoal, mesmo sobre um assunto vezes já fotografar 1000 haverá o pequeno detalham que a tua fotografia à você trará, qualquer maneira fotografar são escrever com a luz então ele senão são necessário parado escrever porque avont todos, os meus amigos muito assunto à proposto e de imagem a fazer découvrire aos outro, a tua fotografia muito efectivamente é-nos expostos, e este tipo de paisagem terminará nunca de cansar-me, é de resto......................Hello Paulo, tout les sujets toute les photos ont déjà été prise un peu sur tout, mais je pense que tu as raison de nous proposé des vues qui te sont personnel, même sur un sujet déjà photographier 1000 fois il y aura toujours le petit détaille que ta photo à toi apportera, toute façon photographier c’est écrire avec la lumière alors il ne faut pas s’arrêté d’écrire car nous avont tous, mon amis beaucoup de sujet à proposé et d’image à faire découvrire aux autres, ta photo est très bien exposée, et ce genre de paysage n’en finira jamais de me lasser, c’est d’ailleurs l’une des plus jolie réflexion sur l’eau qu’il m’ait été donné de voir, bien amicalement

Olá Paulo. Bonita foto nocturna. As cores e os reflexos dos barcos estão perfeitos. O céu está maravilhoso. Se 'aquela coisa' iluminada, do lado direito é o Cristo-Rei, então temos um perfeito frente a frente com a minha foto do Pinhal Novo :). Abraço. Paulo

The boats are beautiful! Love the silky texture of the water tx to the 15 sec. exposure. The very low light seem to highlight the parts of the boats so subtly, making them glow against the blue BG. A lovely shot Paulo...really radiant!
