Seixal Moods III Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another photo taken last wednesday, that day ,which i mentioned on my last post, with the special after rain light.
The boat we see in were taking part on a small festival of typical Tagus river boats.
Some years ago we would see some like them all along the river making the transport of cork and some other things that used to be produced on Seixal district, nowadays we see them only in festivals.
The cork units are almost all closed, now trucks are used to make the transport and most of the old boats have gone or are still kept away from the piers to avoid being burned my some idiots who's life style is burning parts of the district and the country's history, if you want to have an example of what I'm telling our fellow mate Gonçalo (bluejeans) took recently a photo of one of those boats whcih was near the pier to tbe repaired and someone thought(?!?!) it was better to burn him to the skull...

This is my second try with a conversion from RAW to JPEG file and all the PP work of contrast and saturation was made on the raw file.

A composição está bonita, o céu muito atractivo, e aquela bandeira, bem aquela bandeira é o máximo! Que cores lindas. No entanto, sinto que falta qualquer coisa aqui e acho ser nitidez. Eu sou um bocado pitosga mas gostave de poder ler bem o nome dos barcos. O meu problema é que não consigo, especialmente os dois do lado direito. Mas, não quero com isto dizer de não gosto. Antes pelo contrário!

Bonjour Paulo,
toujours de ces photos dont les peintre se régaleraient pour faire de jolies toiles. Toujours ces couleurs et ces contrastes dans les lumières, la recherche du meilleur angle de prise de vue.
Il a fait très beau au Portugal apparement cette année, l'été, les photos sont toujours très ensoleillées là-bas. Ici en Belgique, on perd un peu l'habitude des lumières fortes.
Petit port pittoresque, ta photo en rend bien l'ambiance par trop touristique.

Excellent dimanche.

Paulo,
Your composition is great showing the boats and beach with the buildings in the BG. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF. The great sky adds a lot to the shot.

Olá Paulo, está de facto um espectáculo. A tua composição criou uma imagem cheia de dinamismo. A leitura começa outra vez no canto inferior esquerdo, seguindo a linha de barcos até ao extremo direito das casas e voltando para cá ao longo das fachadas. No fim, subimos pelos mastros acima e encontramos um céu lindíssimo. Muito boa.

Olá Paulo,
me gusta esta combinación de barcas alineadas en el primer plano y la playa y las casas al fondo, con un cielo espectacular que completa la imagen.
Los colores saturados de la foto tienen un buen efecto gráfico, dan mucha fuerza a la composición.
Un gran resultado, me gusta.

PS: La conversión de RAW a JPG a mí me ha dado algunos problemas de calidad de imagen y ruido, aunque ahora la hago con el software de mi cámara (Fujifilm Finepix), y no con Photoshop CS2, que es el que me creaba los problemas al corregir niveles de brillo y contraste.

Very good composition of this colorful landscape. I love this foreground formed by the small boats and what is great is the fabulous saturated colors that you have here.
A third mood all different from the 2 other ones...

i like how you enhance the beauty of the place with pushing the colours to the limits... in this way you achieved an interesting effect - this place does not look "too quiet", nor "too cute"...there must be some action, some activity...

You catch for one more time the mood of your city in beautiful way!The colors so vivid and lively giving a very nice sense to me.The point you choose here helps to enjoy the city to the back,looks so nice in the old architecture.Seixal seems in my eyes a place with a lot of photographic opportunities and your work here,improved this for sure!

Good to hear from you after long time. Hope all is fine. Love the placement of the boats in a small diagonal, couple of them with the fluttering flag of Portugal. The old architecture styles of the houses, the deep blue sky with patchu white clouds...all these create this beauty. Excellent shot!

a cada foto que vejo de Seixal e outras regiões de Portugal, mas tenho vontade de visitar seu país. Belo céu azul e boa composição com os barcos alinhados em diagonal e com reflexos suaves.
