Seixal Moods II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Following in the serie around my homeland Seixal, today it was a very special day here.
First, it's holliday so no work, only with the camera around.
Second, the day was quite strange, specially the weather, in the morning sun with clouds, at lunch time, rain (a lot), and at the time I took this photo the weather you can see...
I honnestly am not a rain fan, but I surely am a fan of the following weather specially here in Seixal, the light turns to be quite beautiful, the water of the bay stands still and if you I'm lucky enough there is high tide and then we have these views which I find special.
So if you are thinking in coming to Seixal, you know first wait for a day with rain, let the rain pass and then come...

the best thing about this shot are the contrasts and the clouds..!! beautiful formation fo clouds you have taken and i loved the bright building on the left..!!The DOf is very good and the colors are very very soothing in this one..!!

Bonjour Paulo,
évidemment, rares sont les ciels que l'on pourrait comparer à celui-ci, il est riche, coloré et bien géré dans les lumières et les balances de blancs.
Les couleurs sur toute la photo sont bien saturées et l'exposition, gérée en légère sous exposition, est parfaite pour faire jaillir les contrastes.
Une impression de calme, pas de foule, des eaux tranquilles.
J'aime beaucoup.

Your composition is great using the seawall to lead the eye through the photo. The reflection is in nice giving the photo nice depth and balance.
The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail. The contrast of cloud and deep blue sky is outstanding.

I love that curved beach line, taking me along the shore and into the scenery...

I see two skies here!-:) Or a very big sky?,what a wonderful, what an impressive reflections! And in the middle I see the layer of land and houses and the boats on the sky?-:)
All these with a very good light makes this composition superb.

Está fantástica. Esse céu e nuvens não podiam estar mais bonitas. Nada é dito na info mas parece-me que isto é fruto do uso excelente de um polarizador. É verdade?
Espero que estejas a ter uma boas férias e, já agora, continua de máquina ã tira-colo!

Bom dia Paulo, realmente não percebo este verão e ontem foi um dia especialmente esquisito. Mas concordo contigo: depois da tempestade fica uma visibilidade limpa com um luz espectacular. Também dei um passeio ontem à tarde, mas sem máquina (ando mesmo de férias...). Dá para notar isso aqui: está lindo aquele céu e a luz uma maravilha. Muito boa a perspectiva da baía. Não sei se hei-de entrar pela água adentro para tocar o céu reflectido ou se corro pelo passeio afora. Os Edifícios brancos estão ali a fazer peso, bem entalados entre o céu e a terra, a fazer um bom contraste e a agarrar o nosso olhar que teima em fugir para a direita.

Oi amigo que bela foto do Seixal , o nosso verão este ano tá muito cinzento :), ficou fantastico o ceu azul com as nuvens , bom angulo de foto , gostei da curva do passeio e das cores bem vivas parabens!!!Boas Ferias :)

Lindo céu, cheio de nuvens em flocos branquinhos... formando uma bela perspectiva. Muito bom ponto de vista e composição, a longa curva da margem conduz o olhar por toda a foto. Excelente luminosidade, cores e reflexos.

Yes you are right ! The hours following the rain, if they are sunny are likely to be very good for photographs. Maybe it is due to the fact this rain has cleaned the sky. This picture is really nice and restful. The sky is wonderful and the reflections are just fantastic. What a lovely place it is !

una imagen preciosa con un gran impacto visual gracias a estas nubes que decoran con mucha elegancia el cielo azul.
Me gusta cómo has montado esta composición, con un buen encuadre y dejando que la curva del muro y la carretera nos lleve la mirada hacia el horizonte, mientras los reflejos en el agua añaden un gran interés a la escena.
La calidad de la imagen es muy alta, y los colores están magníficos, muy naturales y bien saturados.
Es una foto excelente y muy atractiva, amigo mío.

We're back to your colours which I so much like. The sky is definitely the key beauty with the deep blue colour & the cottony clouds, also reflecting in the waters. But I like how you composed this picture with the sweeping curve of the shoreline & the scattered boats in the bay. I don't know why, but the tall tree in front of the crane is capturing my attention first. Well done Paulo
