Portuguese Wedding at dusk, a photo from Setubal, South

Photographer's Note

Still at Seixal and although the boats are still present on the scene, today I've decided for a more 'daily life scene', although people doesn't get married everyday.
I was preparing to take some shots at the boats and bay at sunset, when I saw this two fresh married along with a photographer ready to take some pictures for rememberance in the future.

This looks like a uranium print... Yes I said uranium. They ended up toned this color of orange. The color doesn't work for many images, but it does with this composition. Nice shot.

Interesting choice of sepia color for the picture. Seeing these newly weds among the small boats is an original view. I like the Portuguese flag on the right side, which is easy to recognize despite the monochromatic picture.

Ora bem! Nesta foto, a composição está engraçada, com os barcos à direita e os noivos à esquerda. O uso do sépia, é um gosto pessoal, mas eu preferia ter visto os tons quentes do pôr-do-sol. O meu maior problema está na focagem. Acho que teria sido mais apropriado (isto com relação ao título da foto) teres concentrado a focagem no plano da noiva e deixar a bandeira mais, digamos, tremida.

Intresting shot and a good use of the sepia effect. The placing of the flag works well and the random distribution of the boats adds some extra interest. Nice PoV and many details to observe. Well done.

Bom dia Paulo,
Pelos vistos, vossa baía é tão famosa e atrai tanto os fotógrafos, que até os casamentos vão lá! Um dia, tenho de dar aí um salto para fazer fotos iguais às vossas, hehehe.
Um trabalho muito interessante em sépia - podia mesmo ser uma imagem antiga de um casamento do tempo dos nossos pais. Gosto especialmente do barco inclinado e da bandeira, mas o pessoal do casamento é, de facto, a cereja no topo do bolo. Excelente composição e o céu também está espectacular!

exceptional mood in this atmosphere, like some sad movies from the 1960s, full of nostalgia;
not sure about the tonalty of your sepia, looks a bit aggressive (maybe its good :-))

Lindos tons!

Os barcos e o casal de noivos ficou muito bom. O horizonte está um pouco inclinado!

Mas na minha opnião, o detalhe da bandeira de Portugal foi o melhor!
