An old pic taken at the fishermen quarter in downtown Seixal.
There are lots of tiny little houses which were and some still are from the Seixal's fishermen.
Most of them, as this one, are being neglected until they almost fall apart. Some beacause their owners do not have the means to rebuild them, other because the owners simply don't care, or worse, really wants them to fall so that they can build new houses.
There's always a pro and con on this matters, as if they rebuild new houses, respecting the facades look ok, but most of the times, this is not even close to reality.

this is an intriguing composition of rough textures and abstract coloured patterns with dominated by the solid window frame and its well defined lines. The window doesn't function like it used to, like it was meant to but its view is blocked and has become a decayed wall. I like very much its placement in the composition, the great sharpness and lighting, most appropriate to the theme. There's a wide range of chromatic tones that compose a melancholic feeling. A superb picture, well done and thank you!
All the best, have a nice weekend,

I really like the mixture of textures and the neutral colour pallet. Nice work.

Hello, a very artistic photo of an old window. Being placed to the left rather than center adds more interest and allows the rough texture and lines and color of the wall to contribute to the overall antique look. If only walls could talk. Excellent sharpness and great choice of exposure. Thid is the kind of photo that one sees in the art magazines.Well done.TFS,

Full of textures, an interesting array of decay in the matured wall, stain and immense interest. This makes an enchanting image with good touch of bright white color of the window frame and its peeling textures. Nice composition I like the way the elements all come together, to give the aged look a special character and charm. Fine shot. Well done, Congrats

Love this kind of pictures, very artistic, just like a painting. Interesting too the subject, a closed window and a facade which falls apart. But somehow a whole history is behind these walls. Really well seen and interesting.
Thanks and kind regards

this is an excellently composed image accompanied by a thought provoking note (in the best spirit of this site). YOu have very well realized the artistic potential of this decaying facade. The colors create a sad mood, my compliments!

I love this, very strong composition. Love the every detail in here! You could see how many layers of coating this house had been to. Love the colors, the sharpness and the clearness of this shot. Excellent work!
