The End of a Wonderful Day Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken on one of the most wonderful days I could live here in Seixal.
Sunny weather with the temperatures rising up till 25º.
The water at the day was very still with absolute no wind, ideal for a walk at the end of the afternoon at the bay.
On the photo we can see Lisboa rising up the hill on background and on middle ground we can see Seixal with the tower of the church rising higher in the middle of the houses.
The building on the left hand corner is a Filarmonic society (Sociedade Filarmonica Democatrica Timbre Seixalense) which was founded more than one hundred years ago, in 1848.
The little houses are mostly houses from the fishermen in downtown Seixal.

This transition between daylight and blue hour is very good, some of the colors begin to disappear, gently replaced by blue. I should have gone to Seixal, it looks like a fine place !

me alegra mucho ver una nueva foto tuya, ya hacía tiempo, espero que todo vaya bien.
Y qué bonita foto, en tu estilo personal y con las texturas, la luz, el contraste y los colores que siempre consigues en tus buenos trabajos.
Me gusta mucho, el paisaje urbano en contraste con el agua y el cielo con unos tonos plateados es magnífico.

Lovely calm picture. I really like the steel blue tones of the sky and sea. The composition is nice and varied...perhaps I would have included the entire "restaurant" sign but that's no major complaing.

looks like a beautiful fishing town paulo... the composition is balanced and the colours are natural... would look better with the complete "restaurant" but still very nice... good to see you around my friend...

Bom dia Paulo, interessante como decidiste por a pequena silhueta do barco mais próximo mesmo a meio da composição. A minha 1ª reacção foi querer mexê-lo para o canto esquerdo mas ao fim de algum tempo passei a gostar de o ver ali. Para mim é o principal elemento aqui, observador como nós de toda a cena. O edifício da filamórnica não tem lá muita piada mas gosto de ver os seus tons amarelados a sobressairem dos tons azulados que enchem a imagem, reflectindo a réstia de luz deste final de dia. A silhueta humana anda por ali mas é quase imperceptível - barco no meio é que manda aqui ;-)

uma vista bem bonita mesmo essa, embora pelo céu pareça ter sido um dia bem chuvoso e frio, apesar da temperatura alta. As vezes as fotos enganam!
