Photographer’s Note
Between Setúbal and Sesimbra lies the Arrábida Natural Park, a beautiful protected area covered with pines and rich Mediterranean vegetation, including many rare species.
A tiny fishing village, now attracting increasing numbers of foreign visitors, Portinho da Arrábida is idyllically situated in a small sandy cove below the south side of the Serra da Arrábida, which here falls steeply down to the sea.
Crystal clear waters, reaching 17°C in high summer, make this an excellent spot for scuba-diving and underwater fishing.
Taken in the late afternoon, from the road connecting Setubal & Sesimbra, some ±500m above the place. To see the village itself, click here for our Paulo Melo last year's capture.

Very good presentation, Robert.
It's rather unusual color palette in there...
We Are kind of accustomed to the green fields and the blue skies above...
This time it's different and if only for that factor alone - the photo deserves the prize...
Portugal ???
Where else..! :-)))
Good stuff, bro

Hi Robi,
Umm.... very smart image and that also applies to the frame.
I don't recall that I liked Setubal that much...
I am in love with the colour and texture of the water: a dreamlike appearance.

Maria

Hi Robert, I just can't believe what I am seeing here. Those boats seem like toys in the bathtub. That must be a sandy seabed there. Interesting how the boats are aligned. Beautiful composition. Have a good weekend ahead of you. Rgds, Alex

Hello Robi! Well now this is pretty exciting stuff to me and I like your dark approach very much actually. Just some dark green water and as a contrast the boasts, tiny and yet seeable, and the huge black frame around is a good choice. You had a creative time as it seems, can't blame you I mean not working means always trying out new things (at least for me), and you did. Very good. Enjoy your weekend, Barbara.

Hi Robert,
something really attractive in ways of landscape work. The dominant sumptuous green, the composition without any frills, a bit on the darkish side with the light and the scattered boats...It's graphic too, and good work indeed.

Olá Robert,
Portinho da Arrábida is a special place with much green and blue. In this case you caught very well a hight POV. I like very much of the color and texture of the water.

Portinho da Arrábida!!! Olá Robi, I wonder why it has such a low representation in TE...One of the most beautiful beaches of Portugal that brings me good memories. Wonderful graphic composition. May be a bit dark, but it still works well. Funny placement of all the boats that seem to be moving to a meeting point at left of this view.
cheers,
ric
