Theme: Sunset (VI)

I offer you this beauty sunset. I didn't resist to look when I was driving my car in the hifgway near Montijo, not so far from Lisbon. I stoped the car to click my camera, it was nearly at the end of the day. That setting sun kept me stand and still. Sudently, a cloudy sky covered me. The place where I was, was not bad to take a picture, but not so far from there, it start to rain.

It was the opportunity of the moment that lead me to shot this photo. I know I miss some adjustments, but, I think the final work is not so bad to miss a post.

More than strong, this photo is spectacular, great framing and composition, great silhouettes in the foreground, fantastic shapes on the clouds and impressive warm colours! Congratulations!

Oi Filipe. De vez em quando também me apetece parar o carro e bater uma chapa dessas (saudades da minha BenQ que nem era preciso parar, bastava pô-la em cima do volante e disparar). Cores espectaculares num céu em fogo (pena que não fosse noutro local). Abraço. Paulo

Uma coisa boa que se pode ver aqui ou seja as gruas que são sinal de progresso.
Outra coisa boa e bonita é a maneira como a luz passa atravez das nuvens. valeu bem a pena a paragem. Vejo é esta não foi tirada com a 40D. Ainda não a tinhas?

Julgava que era proibido parar na auto-estrada! :D
Mas valeu a pena, sim senhor! Normalmente aquele tipo de silhuetas não ajudam nada a composição; mesmo quando a intenção é usá-las, quando se vai ver a imagem no computador, é frequente que a imagem tenha um ar caótico. Isso não acontece aqui e, claro, há ainda aquele céu de cores e formas fantásticas, com o sol a querer furar as nuvens bem escuras.

Fantastic sunset effects by powerful sun rays through clouds. Your well build POV adds stunning silhouettes of ground textures and tower cranes. Great one, in very good sharpness and amazingly almost in a few colors.

Hi Filipe,
Impressive sunset even though it's almost single tone colour. It's those bright cloud edges and visible rays of sun that make this look so good. Details on the horizon are interesting too: I can see cranes, one chimney, one mast and powerlines. As the foreground looks black maybe you could show a little less of it.

Está lindíssimo, Filipe. Muito dramática e quase surreal...parece que vai sair qualquer coisa daquela explosão de luz no céu. Poderá ser demoníaco ou uma qualquer intervenção divina...ou se calhar será só um ovni a chegar... ;-) Seja como for gosto muito das cores e contrastes fortes. Aquele fundo amarelado é espectácular.

really an impressive sunset,with the subdued light and with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a great shot.The silhouettes on the foreground brink out the details of the sky and make the more interesting.Informative your note too.

"strong" is a good way to describe it, the billowing clouds and intense light create quite a dramatic mood. the black silhouettes of the towers add an interesting contrast between man-made structures and the power of nature. very nice work, my compliments.

The golden tones are superb which plays of superbly with the deep blacks. Subtle rays of light compliment the image, the clouds are very moody and I like this.

Quando leio o nome do Montijo, pensei que era uma cidade de Badajoz, mas vejo que o mesmo se repete em uma cidade Português.
Um muito dramático com esse fantástico céu onde o Sol parece querer fugir a nuvens negras.
