Photographer’s Note

No, but could be !

I take a boat from Belem to Cacilhas to enjoy the sunset and to dinner in front of Tagus River.

These people had found me taking pictures and they had a problem... One of them, a lovely girl has a camera like mine but she didn't took pictures with good quality. We did a small workshop, I shared my tripod with her. She had started to work in manual mode but this was only the first lesson.

After the small meeting they continued to enjoy the portuguese sunset, doing experiences. I made a picture of them from far away... 240 mm...

Cacilhas is a Portuguese town, located in the municipality of Almada. It has a population of 6,970 of all cacilhas inhabitants and a total area of 0.97 km². Many Cacilhas moved to Harrow, Ontario, Canada 45 minutes from Windsor, Ontario. The current population of Harrow is 3,400.

Best part....that bridge and boat that is leaving...great details and balance to the main part of the picture which are those people on the left. Although he is a bit soft on the sharpness, i like how you composed all this. It's not just another sunset, but all elements all there for making it something different....very nice.

Está espectacular, Aires. Gosto bem do efeito do zoom aqui. Não só do jogo de silhuetas que apanhaste mas também das cores fantásticas que enchem o fundo. A ponte ficou muito bem encaixada lá atrás e gosto do pormenor dos dois LCDs brilhantes na mão das meninas da esquerda em posições simétricas.

Hello Aires, that's one of the very unusual photos of Lisbon, which you can only take by using one of the ferries sailing over Rio Tejo. The silhouettes in front of the "Ponte 25 Abril" with a beautiful background of sunset colours are just amazing. Well done ! Tolga

This time that bridge is closer and looks really massive, just small part visible.
Red sky and blue river give intense colours. Those silhouettes are have perfect positions. And small lights on camera displays add final touch. One of your best I think.

I could not help but open this thumbnail, it just registers very strongly to my eyes with the saturated sunset color tone. I like the composition here, really meaning the composition with the bridge running across, the lighted boat, the lights from the cameras that 2 girls were screening, the a couple still shooting, all very well posed for this crucial moment to make your capture a great harvest.

No other way except a silhouette, nothing I will change, except maybe focus sharpness?

Tre linee di colore differenti, per un risultato strabiliante, valorizzato dall'effetto silhouette delle ragazze fotografe.
Una cosa simpatica è il poter vedere i display delle loro fotocamere, illuminati.
Molto bello anche il ponte che sembra una croce.

Que imagem estupenda! Ficou parecendo um negativo de um filme colorido (muito melhor, claro), como se fosse um louvor à fotografia. Muitíssimo bem realizada!!! As cores estão fantásticas, as silhuetas dos jovens não podiam ser melhores, estão cheias de vida e em poses muito expressivas.

Olá Aires, realmente podia ser um encontro de "trekkers" e quem sabe se essa rapariga que ajudas-te não acaba por se registar aqui agora que aprendeu a trabalhar em modo manual?
As cores do pôr-do-sol estão maravilhosas, a definição está perfeita com todos os contornos das sombras visíveis e gosto da inclusão dos guindastes lá ao fundo.

A ponte 25 de Abril é uma maravilha da engenharia e fica bela em qualquer fotografia!
Porém, devo ressaltar aqui o seu ponto de vista, muito bem escolhido e a composição, acrescentando pessoas descontraídas, o porto e o navio (iluminados) ao fundo! Além do mais, o momento da tomada foi excelente com esse colorido incrível do céu!

The zoom creates a great non-perspective with the huge bridge looking almost like a painted background. And the contrast between warm and cold colors is simply one of the best I've seen for while. And you managed that very very well.

It is an extraordinary photo. I like very much photographed people who photograph, they are all isolated in their world. Here, we would really imagine to be in a theater (shadow theater!) with this supernatural sunset as set which mixs in the industrial landscape of the port.

Transition of colors is amazing; from yellow to blue; there is a very gentle and attractive transition.
Four silhouettes and they all got lost in the moment, trying to "freeze" the beauty of sunset, just like you. My compliments,

Bom dia Aires.
Vejo que tambem aprecias um belo jantar junto ao Tejo com aquela vista linda sobre Lisboa.
Pelo que mostras na foto pareces estar proximo do 'atira-te ao rio' um restaurante em Cacilhas que é ideal para umas boas fotos Lisboa especialmente ao anoitecer, quando as luzes já estão ligadas e se vê o casario a descer pelas colinas rodeado de luzes.
Esta foto está muito bonita, estes fotografos entretidos uns a fotografar a vista e outros a fazerem retratos são essenciais para o impacto da mesma. Mas tambem o barco que parte ao fundo e a silhueta da ponte estão espectaculares especialmente porque estão enquadrados por aquelas cores lindas no céu causadas pelo por do sol.
Esta é uma daquelas que também gostava de fazer um dia.
