My 300th post in Trekearth Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is my 300th picture in Treakearth !

I choose this one to celebrate this moment. It's not so special but i like it.

I made the picture in a foggy day with mystic atmosphere. Here, we can see an old boat under de sand.

During these last 3 years I learned a lot with your critiques, comments and worshops.

THANKS TO ALL !

Taken while I was walking by in Barreiro, in a point where the Coina river flows into the Tagus river. The photo was taken in the lunch time of a very cloudy day, and you can see a part of the Barreiro city in the background.

Barreiro is a municipality and city in Portugal with a total area of 32.0 km² and a total population of 79,047 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 8 parishes (freguesias), and is located in the district of Setúbal.
The present Mayor is Carlos Humberto Carvalho, elected by the Unitarian Democratic Coalition.
The municipal holiday is June 28.

Hello !
First of all congratulations to your 300th posting.
Even if you say, it's nothing special; it's still an evidence of a good seeing photographers eye. How many people may have passed this scene, and didn't notice, that it was a boat like many others. People had used it for their joy, are just for earn they money etc etc. Nice graphism.

Congratulations!
Foggy atmosphere fits perfectly with this subject. It's amazing how an abandoned boat slowly submerges under sand and creates this ellipse of old wood sticking out of ground. I also like the line between sand and mossy ground.

Congratulations! Three years, 300 photos, double jubilee. Beautiful photo. Very mysterious atmosphere. I wonder, how long the boat have to be in sand and water, to be like this? In thumbnail I have thought you have Stonehenge in Portugal. Old boat are such a thema for photograpers.

Hello Aires,
For some time I could not guess from the miniature, what she represents. Only after the longer time of looking myself her I arrived at this that this were the remainder of the sunken boat in sands. Opening of the photograph confirmed my suppositions. I will acknowledge that moved me this picture. There is something strange in remainders of protruding boats from former the bottom. When the opportunity occurs my sincere congratulations on the occasion three hundredth photo on TE.

I definitely like your POV in this shot ... it provides such good perspective. The low light hasn't prevented you from getting rich colours and great sharpness. The descending fog is a nice touch.

Só de olhar para a foto já estou gelado!!! A mim, nme me dá vontade de sair de casa. Por isso, para o ano que vem irei em Junho a Portugal. Estou farto de frio, chuva e vento. E de dias pequenos!!!
Gosto de ver este esqueleto de barco. Até parece um dinossáurio.

Parabéns pelas 300 apresentações, sempre muito competentes.
Mas estás a querer colocar nossa cabeça para funcionar com esta foto/enigma, não é? Fiquei intrigada com esta imagem e a me perguntar porque a terias publicado por ocasião da tricentésima.
Começam a emergir-me alguns indícios, tal como emergem as pontas desta estrutura de um barco - é que ainda não vimos tudo e queremos que nos mostres ainda muito mais, ou seja, aguardamos muitas outras trezentas! Vamos continuar a desenterrar o barco!
Não consigo evitar uma interpretação... se não descubro o motivo, invento ;-)

Bonjour Aires,
félicitations pour la 300e photo sur le site. Une prise qui rappelle un peu ton chemin parcouru, tu est un ancien du site maintenant, mais loin d'être dans l'état de ce reste de navire.

Well, i sometimes do feel like that, misty, mysterious and wrecked, but it is worth, compared to all i've got from this site. The most important thing is my photography lover friends whom i found here. Congrats for your 300th, and may your new hundreds fill us with joy.

Com aquele nevoeiro, eu era capaz de nem sequer ter tirado máquina do saco, mas tu fizeste-o e conseguiste uma foto estupenda. O assunto, o esqueleto de um barco semi-enterrado na areia, combina bem com aquele nevoeiro, que acentua um certo ar tétrico, evocativo de outros tempos, de pessoas e objectos já mortos como o barco. O enquadramento tb. é excelente. Gosto de divisar os barcos em melhor estado ao fundo. Imagino que ficará muito bem a P&B, mas gosto imenso das cores suaves.

Grande Aires! Parabéns pelas 300 fotos! Que você continue sempre com bons motivos para fotografar em sua vida!
Aqui podemos relacionar esse esqueleto de barco com a sua participação em TE comparando-o ao tempo que se passou. A foto número um já faz parte de um passado distante e está mais ou menos como este barco, enterrada por tantas outras fotos que sobrevieram. Certamente que o seu conhecimento sobre as fotos e o seu prazer de fotografar também sofreram evoluções desde aquele primeiro post. Estou falando sem ver o velho post, apenas como uma maneira de relacionar a foto ao momento.

Well it's a very interesting picture in this nowhere misty land.
I note here a very good control of the exposure because the mist gives too much light or an under exposure.
