Barreiro Harbour - #1/3 Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi dear all,

One of these day, I decided take a boat from Lisbon to another side of the Tagus river.

Taken while I was walking by in Barreiro, in a point where the Coina river flows into the Tagus river. The photo was taken in the lunch time of a very cloudy day, and you can see a part of the Barreiro city in the background.

Barreiro is a municipality and city in Portugal with a total area of 32.0 km² and a total population of 79,047 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 8 parishes (freguesias), and is located in the district of Setúbal.
The present Mayor is Carlos Humberto Carvalho, elected by the Unitarian Democratic Coalition.
The municipal holiday is June 28.

Mas que confusão no primeiro plano!!! O que é tudo aquilo? E no plano de trás, o que são aqueles arcos? Está gira, com muita cor e uma boa composição.

Remarkable compoition with the old wooden poles, the boats and the construtions in the background. I like the atmosphere coming with the oeverall darkness of the picture. Well done!

Olá Aires,
lovely composition and the reflections of the boats are great. Good colours and even cloudy bright and friendly capture. The wooden parts in the foreground give a great detail.

Muito boa. Também não conheço o Barreiro, mas parece-me um sítio muito fotogénico. Temos que fazer lá uma saída todos um destes dias. Grande céu que apanhaste aqui. Mesmo há hora do almoço conseguiste uma boa luz e uma boa exposição.

I see Friend, that lately both You and me blowed by the water and the subject matter with her connected. Strange are connected places with water reservoirs , speckled remains of the intensive human activity. This they grant {post} the faint taste fhotoes, refinements to shown pictures. That is so and here. The beautiful picture, splendidly arranged elements on the removal {photo}, very nice contrasts. The foreground is superb. The beautiful work! Nice weekend!

It looks a bit decayed and far less sophisticated than the Lisboa side, a good photo with a nice succession of elements and reflections, I like the heavy hanging cloud as well, complement the reflections well to make it look a bit like a painting.

Hi Aires,
Cloudy but very nice luminosity over the river and Barreiro's houses. Good you included the shore where we can see different textures and nice clouds giving a dramatic impact to your photo. I like also the boat reflection and colors.

Boa ideia, Aires. Chegámos a pensar em fazer algo parecido numa das nossas saídas, mas não chegámos a concretizar. A tua composição está muito boa e aquele céu e luminosidade fizeram o resto resultando numa imagem muito atraente. Poderão ser moinhos de água, aqueles arcos...

Olá Aires,
Confesso que estou a uns miseros 5 minutos de barco do Barreiro mas nunca me deu para ir lá espreitat e afinal a avaliar pela tua foto se calhar até vale a pena a 'deslocação'.
Apesar de um pouco confuso gosto deste foreground, ainda mais do meio da foto com estes 3 barquitos e os seus reflexos.
Aquela sucessão de arcos cria um impacto interessante no fundo da foto.
Boa exposição e cores, e um céu muito bonito com todas aquelas nuvens.

Hi Aires,
A lot of good photo in your gallery, i stop on this one because i enjoy marine landscape (ok it's normal, i'm britton! :-)
A lot of interresting point here, in all plan. The wood in foreground give depth to the picture, like also the boats. The house with red roof contrast in the picture, the cloudy sky give a very good background. I like the atmosphere you restitute here.
