Photographer’s Note

The "Avenida da Praia" (Beach Avenue) in Barreiro offers a stunning view of Lisbon and Almada across the river Tejo.

I was waiting for the boat to reach the right spot and take a picture, when suddenly the seagull crossed the frame. I was very fortunate to press the shutter button on time, and got it!

Hi Joao, that's really a great picture of Lisboa! Seeing these color's I would say an abstract painting. Makes think about taking a ride on one of the ferryboats next time I'll be in this wonderfull city. Welcome to TE and keep on posting, Mike

A composição é excelente e a tonalidade coral que conseguiste obter sem a ajuda de qualquer filtro é muito boa. O barco está realmente na posição certa. Veja-se a chaminé perfeitamente em linha... A gaivota pode ter sido um tiro de sorte, mas faz realmente toda a diferença. O contraste com o céu claro é lindo. É pena a pouca qualidade destas zooms farsolas da Canon, mas a malta não tem guito para lentes L por isso... Sê muito bem vindo ao TE. Queremos mais...

this is a great photo and it deserved a version with higher resolution! 23.5Kb is simply not enough... can you repost a better version?
