Photographer’s Note

In last weekend, I made a trip along the beaches of Costa da Caparica.

There were many people on the beach despite the bad weather. The temperature was mild. I made this picture when enjoyed a coffe in terrace on the seafront

Costa da is a Portuguese city and a parish, located in the municipality of Almada. It has a population of 11,707 inhabitants and a total area of 10.88 km². Costa da Caparica is a city since December 2004
Beaches

Caparica is known for its numerous beaches. The beaches are very popular in the summer, due to their proximity to Lisbon, which is located across the Tagus River from Caparica. These beaches have suffered from erosion in recent years. The Portuguese government has taken steps to reduce these patterns, but the erosion has continued at several of the beaches located closest to the mouth of the Tagus.

Opinion of an English tourist: "A very good break when it is working. Steep and powerful sections break left and right off the many jetties located all along the beach. Ideal spot for all levels of experience and is easily accessible for those without transport. Located near to bars, campsites and the town centre (Costa) whilst just 10 mins from Lisbon. Watch out for the fishermen pulling in their nets through the line-ups! Eles locos! Also the tides can be vey sudden and rips very powerful"

Un joli cliché qui nous fait sentir que l'été semble bien avoir tourné les talons,même si les promeneurs ne se sont pas encore vétus plus chaudement. Celà a un air nostalgique de fin de saison.

Olá Aires,
looks much more fresh than in summer time postings, the grey clouds and the impression of wind tells us really about the coming autumn. Let me tell you that wearing short trousers was not possible here in most days of September but I did reboot our heating as the night temperatures got below 5 degrees and the days were up to 12. I like the blue pillows balancing the people.

a simple everyday scene, but so well composed: this is photographer's eye.
Good use of colors, and I notice that umbrella in the left side is in line with horizon.

Tem alguém velejando , não é? Mesmo com um tempo não muito bom , as cores do céu estão belas , as pessoas caminhando e a criança aprendendo a fazer isso ,fizeram da composição uma graça.

yes the autumn is started, the beaches are empty and here in the Netherlands it's jus 10 degrees on the moment, I like the shot, good atmosphere, fine photojob here, have anice day.

The remains of summer is still in the air..!
I like this scene, where the colourful dresses create excitement...
Basically a fine composition, maybe I'd consider cropping/cloning the umbrella part popping in at the right side?

Yes, the autumn is visible on Your photo...even in portugal which I associate with rather nice weather in this season..still:)

Olá Aires,
Não sei bem porquê, essa atmosfera já muito outonal, apesar de ainda não ter chegado o frio a valer é um bocado depressiva para mim, mesmo apesar de uma das coisas que estão muito bem são as cores vivas. Mas não tomes isto como o defeito, bem pelo contrário. É uma bela captura dessa "fatia do tempo" como alguns anglo-saxónicos lhe chamam. A luz está especialmente bem.
