Photographer’s Note

As I told on my previous post, this weekend I’ve decided to put an end to my windows series, but when I was walking in Almada I saw this Arabic beauty and I couldn’t resist it...Sorry! ;-)
This window belongs to “Casa da Cerca” a noble house from the XVIII Century, that nowadays is a Contemporary Art Gallery.
This Building is placed on the top of a huge ravine, and from there we can have a splendid view from Tagus River and Lisbon.

I'm very impressed with your work, this is an excellent picture, the way you captured looks like the windows are hanging instead of incrusted in the wall. Very good idea and love your POV and composition.

Don't apologise. I am very sorry that you don't intend to show us more windows they are so varied in your area. This is another perfect image, it almost looks like a painting. The leadlight colours are glorious. I like the way you have placed the windows to the left, excellent choice. Thank you for sharing.

Why do you want to end such a good series in a hurry? I have really enjoyed this and hope you would continue to add to your windows portfolio as and when the opportunity arises. This one with the stark white BG almost seems to be floating in the air.

buena idea, la bonita ventana con la vidriera de colores parece que esté levitando en el aire, gracias a tu atrevido encuadre. Me gusta que esté un poco descentrada. Bien iluminada, no hay sobreexposición y los colores son muy buenos.

Teresa, por queres terminar com suas fotos de Janelas? Para amantes de janelas, portas e arquitetura antiga eu adoro suas fotos.

Bela essa janela estilo árabe. O nequadramento está perfeito e ficou muito boa a nitidez podendo até visualizar o interior da casa.

This is a rocking photo! The window seems to float against the white background. The off center of the window is perfect. The contrast between the stained glass window and the white wall works very well.

Overall: Excellent!

Don't stop posting photos of windows - they are one of my favorite subjects as you can tell from my photos.

Mais, Teresa, on ne se lasse pas de la série "windows" que tu nous proposes. Ce couple de fenêtres est magnifique sur un mur blanc on ne voit qu'elles : beauté des formes et beauté des couleurs. Si tu as encore des occasions comme celle-ci ne t'en prive pas, je pense que je ne suis pas le seul amateur.

Hola Teresa,

Como siempre nos sorprendes con increíbles imágenes, la ventana es muy hermosa y la composición correcta, lo único que no me acaba de convencer es la sobreexposición de la pared, por un lado crea un efecto óptico muy interesante, parece flotar en la escena, pero para mi gusto hubiese preferido disfrutar de toda su textura, de todos modos un gran trabajo lleno de creatividad.

Juizinho na cabeça...! então agora ias deixar de nos mostrar estas janelinhas?!?! atina-te!!
Gosto especialmente desta que contrasta tão bem com a parede branca. Gosto do grafismo criado pelos vitrais e tambem do facto de podermos apreciar o que se para la da janela atraves da mesma.

Parece que a janela esta suspensa no ar !!! Gosto deste tipo de contraste. A importancia do vazio esta muito bem, talvez até poderia ser ligeiramente maior...Muito bem visto as escadas que descobrimos atravez os vidros. Ainda bem que nao resististes à tentaçao.
