Photographer’s Note

Here is the Almourol's Castle in Santarem district in Portugal.
It is located on a small island in Tagus river.

To visit it, go on a small touristic boat which will bring you there with the other tourists. The boat will come back around 30 minutes later.

Hello! I have visited this castle a long time ago and at that time I still did not know what was to photograth digitaly. What places do you know along Tejo`s river? At this castle further to the right there is a nice beach. Pre-combining a crossing with the boat man to the beach should be an good idea. By car I haven`t seen yet the best accesses to reach it. The high-tides never reach here. At most they pass beyond ( Santarém ) city. I was canoing near( Almeirim ) and the tide was even strong enough. Best regards. Domingos
