Thats a super composition with such a lovely view specially the way a part of the land near the tree glows. thats magical. the balance is great and the overall colour and texture scheme is superbly handled

Hello Luis,

A spectacularnature shot, with the bare branches of the tree (perhaps cork oak) making a silhouette of fine lacework. It is such an impressive photo, I would have preferred seeing it a little larger. Bravo for the capture.

You are correct "Nature is indeed a magical thing" but nature through the eye of an artist becomes supernatural...not sure that means better than nature though.

Great light here my friend, not only in the sky but also that stoke of light in the foreground in front of the tree. Maybe you worked on that part, but it brings the whole picture alive. The darker surrounding would otherwise overrule the beautiful sky, now it is in perfect balance.

Gosto mais desta do que da previamente colocás-te, as cores estão bonitas, a definição excelente. O caminho gretado ficou muito bem a encaminhar o olhar (deste-lhe 1 pouco de dodge não?). Só não me agrada muito o efeito da vinhetagem presente sobretudo nos cantos superiores...

Hi Luis,

The dried out mud in the foreground is magical in the composition! It just enhances that feel of dryness you already get when looking at that tree. Very nice light in the background. Well balanced. The foreground doesn't get too dark. Nice!

I really need to get me some of these grad filters. You have really figured it out. The sky is great as well as the tree but what stole the show for me is the path. Love the color tones and the light on it. Very well done.

Hi Luis,
This is a wonderful shot, with a great atmosphere. The ultra wide zoom makes gives a lot of depth of field to your composition. I think it comes from the great perspective effect on the clouds. The colours are very beautiful too. Very well done.

Incrível a diferença relativamente à outra. Esta parece mais África numa época de grande seca. Excelente o detalhe deste caminho de lama seca - é o que gosto mais, apesar do mais espectacular ser o contraste da árvore com aquele céu incrível que parece ter todas as nuvens a convergir para os ramos.

Yes i totally agree with you Luis, nature is a magical thing, few minutes later or before and this is totally different as colors and atmopshere ... i love the atmosphere of this picture, was dramatic than the previous one.

Nature is indeed a magical thing, but it takes a good wizard to capture it like this... :-P)

I was already a fan of your previous tree shot, an image full of sun and promises, but here, it evokes a darker side, something more gloomy. Still, I like how the clouds seem to come out of the branches and the clearer path looks like a patch of light is beaming on it.

Luis,
comparing this version with your previous tree shot I have to admit that this one here convinces me much more. The previous was somewhat dissapointing - to generic and not quite worth your collection. This one has exactly what it takes. The right light to give a dramatic atmosphere. The composition with the diagonal line leading from the right foreground corner to the tree and the light green patch in the front are great elements to provide a sense of depth. The sky is the icing that gives the impression that the cloud lines converge into the tree.

Na minha opinião só tenho pena o chão estar tão escuro, pois acho que a foto teria um poder bem superior. O Céu está com boas cores e aquele chão com gretas devido à seca talvez daria um estrondoso impacto à foto, mas como disse é pena ter tantas zonas sem detalhe :-(

The colour is good as well as the subject, but what really impresses me here is the cracked river bed. Almost of the appearance of a computer generated image or HDR image, kind of similar to a scene I'd expect back home in Australia.
