As you can see from my uploads, my vacation time in Portugal was very rich in extreme experiences ranging from a gay beach to the sanctuary of Fatima but believe me this is just the beginning...
Fatima is a very interesting place. There are crowds of believers arriving here every day from the whole Europe. As you can imagine this may heavily impact the traffic. We were lucky to participate in the prayer at 21.30 which is very atmospheric due to candles which people bring with themselves.
You can read about Fatima’s history here. I will just mention that in 1917 three children had multiple visions of St Mary here. The children were so convincing that on the October 13th they were able to assemble a crowd of 70,000 people in this place, many of which had a vision called the Miracle of the Sun. Some people saw it other didn’t, it is certainly pity that they did not have digital cameras at that time.
This shot taken at a sunset light is my personal interpretation of how beautiful the colors may have been at that famous evening. Of course this pretty basilica was built much later and now it hosts the tombs of those 3 children.

Z przyjemnościa oglądam Twoja relacje, bo to znane mi miejsca.

Your composition is great using the arch to frame the scene. The lighting and colors are great with the areas of sun and shade creating nice contrast. The photo is sharp and your POV is outstanding.

The vertical format, the point of view and the composition are all excellent in this photograph!

Sliczna kompozycja, super kolorystyka.
Zastanawiam sie jak Ci sie udalo zrobic zdjecie bez tlumow i wszechogarniajacej komercji w tle.

A curious place it is, for believers and non-believers. And catched here in beautiful soft side light that creates a wonderful play of light and shadows.

Hi Mariusz. You caught a beautiful light here and made a very nice composition. I was there several times and never saw the sanctuary 'without' people. Have you erased them? :) It's really a shame that only two foreigners (you and Mikolaj) put Fátima in the right place. Shame on us (portuguese) and thank you. BEst regards. Paulo

You did a great and original use of the columns as a frame. Great architecture of the further sanctuary building. The light is very interesting and the contrasts are excellent too. A good work!

you are right about it! the sunlight creates miracle on everything. the sun light is great on this one, as well as the way you frame the church too. nice job!

Like everyone else a well designed and wonderful golden lighting, with the column arch leading the eye towards the cathedral.

You have pearls of rare beauty in your gallery which I had not yet seen... This is just one of those!
The composition is so perfect and harmonious that seems the natural frame for this church. And miracle here is just the right word, not only for the obvious reference to the place, but for this enchanting light which makes everything appear divine! We have a real masterpiece here.
You deserve the best compliments,

What an excellent shot, framed and done with following all the photographic rules. You also could take advantage of the sunset which produced a superb reddish light. Perfect job, congrats. Thanks for your critique of my food shot from Sainoi. Eating every few house certainly is good for health, but in some offices you never know when they will be working

Hi Mariusz, what an amazing light you've captured. And very artfully through this arch. The image is perfectly exposed and the arch looks wonderful with the vertical frame. I also like the distortion of the wide-angle lens. Great job, lucky you being so close to travel to Portugal and Turkey etc. Have a good weekend, Lisa
