Photographer’s Note

The Tray Festival is essentially a festival of colour and movement.
One of the most characteristic ways of the population showing their joy for the realization of the Festival is decorating their streets and calling the public because the majority is found in the historic centre of the city where the parochialism still lives.
This way, hundreds of people spend thousands of hours working for more than six months making thousands of paper flowers that they will be using to decorate their streets. The decoration is of their authorship and responsibility and it is always kept secret until Friday night when the official opening of the decorated streets is announced. The talent and the work of the “decorators” is rewarded and evaluated by the Committee that offer plaques that reward the Colour, Harmony and Tradition being contemplated all the competing streets.
