To Runaway from Darkness Photo

Photographer’s Note

People can escape from the shadows and enter in a new world, a world of green, peace and quite, where they can sit and relax, walk and enjoy the nature, and have clearly thoughs...
This is "Mata dos Sete Montes" in Tomar, I had escape to there many times, to been in a "green world" and listen the birds.

The Mata dos Sete Montes is "Verdadeiro ex-libris da cidade de Tomar, este espaço integrado desde 1986 no Serviço Nacional de Parques, Reservas e Conservação da Natureza, constituiu-se como um pulmão da cidade, albergando no seio da sua exuberante vegetação, inúmeros motivos de atracção para o visitante, seja pela observação do seu património natural e construído, seja pela fruição das excelentes condições para a prática de actividades desportivas e de lazer."

This black frame that I'd posted on photo was on propose to give the sense of leaving a world and entering on another. From Shadow to Light.

Ola Aida,

Very nice and creative work. Personaly I think this picture doesn't need any WS because I think both the original as your framed version is looking very well.
I must say that I am also (but positively) supprised that the frame your did is allowed on TE. I hope it will not be removed like was done with my creative work..

In anyway I like your POV and think you have discribed very well the feeling that this picture is displaying.

Hi Aida!

A really wonderful idea that reflected to a very interesting and really great job..It has fine details and superb lighting wich make the colours being so true..Like a portal to the "real" world..The world of our dreams..

I have to add that your frame is something different and really worths to be here even if it is not allowed..And that is mainly because it is handmade and give to your pic a trully wonderful mood..

You did a fine job here..Bravo!

I thought this was perhaps a disused railway line and this was the exit from a tunnel!
It's a really artistic expresssion of a feeling, almost a suggestion of being re-born.
I like this photo, and your note, very much.

Amazing photo Aida, with great colours, clarity...the dark tunnel creates special atmosphere and great contrast to bright and beautiful trees, regards

great pov and colours although i think you've exagerated in the shaping dark effects you've placed in the photo. i believe it was beutiful for itself!

People told me that when I'll see the light at the end of a tunnel I shouldn't go in that direction … but at the end of this tunnel is so wonderful! Very beautiful composition and good sharpness. Great idea to combine beauty of light with darkness. Very well done.
