Photographer’s Note
This note is a little hard to explain in English, but I tried to do my best.
This is the fresher students in the Tomar Superior School. This particular day is call the Baptismo. This is the end of the year "praxes". The things in their hair are a mix of plenty of things like flour, eggs and all the imaginable things that make a nauseous smell. All the students are grouped by course and have something to distinguish of the others. The boy in first plane as a "Tourist" 'cause of the towel, if he was a civil engineer he was carry a brick. All freshers have a "chucha" in their necks given by their godmother or godfather. The lady in black is a "doutora". All the students go like this on parade by all city, singing and jumping, trying to do the best for their courses. At the end of the day, in the most famous square in the city, they are baptise by some students dress like templars. This kind of things create very friendships betweeen the students, and make excelent stories to tell to their future children.
I know this photo isn't very good but I like you to learn a little more about Tomar students traditions. If I find a good one, on the next post I put one about the "traje académico",
Kss
