Not so Lonely Walks in Constancia Photo

Photographer’s Note

Continuation of my afternoon in Constancia and thru its charming,tiny streets.
Several things attracted me here, first the look of the houses being bathed bu the sunlight coming from side above, then this old puchs, a classic I just remember to see in my youth and then for all of those who claim for persons on my photos, bang... 2 of them trying to fix another puchs.
For those who didn't watch my prvious posts Constancia is a small municipality belonging to the district of Santarem in the center of Portugal.
At the 'feets' of the city flows Tagus River, I say at the 'feets' because the whole town is built along an hill crating a very charming place, very attractive for the eyes, but also for the mind as there is an 'intense calm' all over the town.
I highly recomend a walk thru this little, but charming town, also of interest Arripiado close to here and of course the Castle of Almourol which you can access by boat from Arripiado.

j'adore ce genre de photo et de PP que tu arrives à faire. Superbe lumière et netteté sur l'ensemble de l'image. C'est très agréable à regarder. Bravo !

The street does not look amenable for riding motorcycles with all the stairs. Fine composition, Paulo. The bike fills the foreground nicely. Good handling of contrast. Regards,

Bonjour Paulo,
des tellement belles lumières ici, un endroit aussi calme que propre, c'est effarant de voir que de tels coins existent quant on voit la saleté de nos villes, la mienne n'y échappe pas.
C'est un ambiance remarquable.

What a lovely narrow street !
The light is perflecty managed to create a fine play between light and shadows, and give a peaceful mood.
Great composition, with warm colors.
Thanks to your picture, I'd like to climb the stairs to discover more about this charming village...

ya cuando vi la miniatura de esta foto supe que era tuya, por el encuadre y la forma de mostrar estas calles estrechas y agradables.
La perspectiva hacia arriba es muy elegante y profunda, y la luz y las sombras juegan un bello papel estético en la composición. Además estas pequeñas motos y las personas añaden acción a la escena y tienen un buen contraste con las texturas del pavimento, la bonita arquitectura, las farolas y el cielo azul.
Todo funciona muy bien aquí.
Es un bonito trabajo, amigo mío.

Fantastic architecture photo and beautiful daily life scene at the same time! you have managed the light very well despite the fact that you had many shadows. These two people in the background and the small moto in front add a lot of interest and beauty to the final result. Congratulations!

I like the point of view looking up the stairs, and the two guys with the moped is a nice addition...

Estas pequenas motos trazem-me à memória boas passeadas e brincadeiras. Muito bonita esta rua de interior em Constância. Tem uma traça tipicamente portuga. Gosto da cor e luz com diferentes tonalidades.

This sure looks like a place to walk & soak in the atmosphere. How is the moped parked diagonally, bang in the middle of the narrow street? Hope it was not yours..having parked it & then taking this shot? :-). Like the perspective leading us through the path with the contrasting coloured facades. The light & shadows play an important role in the beauty. Sky is nice deep blue, but some noise in it. A fine picture..and I keep wondering how do people drive these mopeds up & down the stairs?
