[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Benavente is a small village from Portugal, located in Ribatejo. Many of those Ribatejo villages have a tradition with Bull-fight, similar to spanish tradition, although the bull is not killed in the arena. There are a few types of bull-fights. This one is one happens in the street. The bull runs, people provoking him, fleeing from the attacks, until everyone is amused and the animal completely tired.

Great has been the discussion about bull-fighting. Some say that it is cruel, some say it is cultural, others think this as an art. Personally i'm not a really enthusiast of bull-fight. In spite of that, i think this is a great scenario, with great colors, the beauty of the animal and beauty of the motion.

Se é vitela, não sei Mas que tem uns cornos afiados, lá isso tem! Não era eu certamente que me metia à frente. No entanto gosto de ver estas manifestações da nossa cultura tradicional. Há já muitos anos, assisti a uma largada de touros em Vila Franca de Xira e adorei. Especialmente, a sardinhada que veio a seguir!!!!
A foto está bonita, tirada de um ângulo talvez um pouco elevado em relação ao nível da cena. Mas, nem tudo é perfeito nesta vida.
