Built in a small island in the middle of the Tagus river, in a place where the mourish castle Almorolan already existed, the Almourol castle was reconstructed by the Templar knights in 1171 and belonged to the Tagus Line, a defensive line built to protect southern part of the country from Mourish invasions.
The photo was taken in a boat, the only way to get to the island, and the ultra-wide lens was used to show the size of the castle compared to the island.
A slight color correction was made, because it was a very bright day.

Construído numa pequena ilha no meio do rio Tejo, no sítio onde o castelo mouro de Almorolan já existia, o castelo de Almourol foi reconstruído pelos cavaleiros Templários em 1171 e pertencía à Linha do Tejo, uma linha defensiva feita para proteger a parte Sul do país das invasões dos mouros.
A foto foi tirada de um barco, o único meio para chegar à ilha, com uma lente de grande angular para mostrar a comparação de tamanho entre o castelo e a ilha.
Como o dia estava muito brilhante, foi feita uma pequena correcção de cor. |

Bonita imagem do Castelo de Almourol.
Acho que o enquadraste muito bem no meio de todo este verde.
O céu perfeitamente limpo está excelente.
E as cores estão muito naturais.
