Cidade sossegada, escondida no fundo de um vale, onde o sol nasce sorridente. Capela do Calvário - Datada do século XVII, fica situada no alto de um monte e é considerada um marco da arquitectura portuguesa da época pós-pombalina.Colocado num ponto elevado, tem no adro um cruzeiro de pedra mármore, assente numa base quadrada, e sobre ela uma circunferência também em mármore, com caveiras esculpidas.
