Palácio Amarelo (Yellow Palace) Photo

Photographer’s Note

Maybe I shouldn't be posting this one, considering that my last post, which was shot from the top of the stone tower seen on the centre, didn't get much attention. I like to take that as a sign that many, if not most, of the people that usually write about my posts don't do it just for keeping the "exchange points system" going on and chose to write about other posts instead of that that has no appeal for them. That makes me truly happy and compensates largely my disillusion.

The pretext to post this one is that some of you liked this WS of my last post.

The big house of the photo is known as Palácio Amarelo (Yellow Palace) and it is a construction of the 17th century, although it suffered several modifications in the 18th and 19th century. It's one of the landmarks of the town, not only for its catchy look, but also because its location makes it clearly visible for anyone approaching the town from South and West.

Olá José,
Esta está com uma luminosidade e com contraste melhores ainda que as outras. Adoro as nuvens com o aspecto globoso, como as vemos diretamente no céu, graças ao efeito fantástico do polarizador.
Concordo com o que disseste sobre pontuação, as pessoas não estão só procurando uma troca de pontos e isto é gratificante. Acho que a maioria tenta fazer uma avaliação sincera, tirando proveito para aprender sobre o mundo e a fotografia e, de quebra, para manter o contato amigável. Eu, por exemplo, sou muito curiosa para conhecer os lugares e costumes e gosto dos contatos amigáveis também. Claro, tudo isso no mundo fascinante da fotografia!

Falar sobre fotografia e sobre o TE tornou-se uma coisa freqüente na minha vida, com isso já consegui angariar uma adepta, na minha vizinhança - a Danielle (Guaynielle) ;-) Ela, por exemplo, é rigorosa! Só pontua aquilo de que ela gosta mesmo, nada de fla-fla! Tua observação me fez lembrar dela ;-)

Sharp & nice clean photo. I like the diagonal composition with the wall, trees, and the palace nestling on top. The background hill & blue sky with clouds complete the photo. Great exposure & rich colors. I think this one would deserve more attention (than your last one) maybe because of the composition & vegetation which brings out more life to the photo relatively speaking. Regards. Latiff.

Good composition with this curve of the long wall and this lamppost in the foreground.The interesting,yellow building contrast well with all these trees and this wonderfulsky.Great POV and nice,bright colors.

Não tenho andado por aqui e como tal não conhecia a tua foto anterior.
Esta está muito boa as cores bem fortes e excelente definição, mas tenho de dizer que a foto do ws 2 está com 1 pov bem mais do meu agrado apesar do céu/luminosidade não a favorecer.

Aqui, as cores estão bonitas e o céu ficou muito bem. Só não lá muito é daquele candeeiro ali espetado mas creio que não o podias tirar dali para fazer a foto!!!
Estive a ver o tal WS e para ser sincero gosto mais do PdV dessa foto, o qual enquadra o palácio melhor e mostra bem o que tem à sua volta.

Olá José!
As cores desta estão excelentes. Gosto do verde da vegetação, do amarelo do palácio e daquele céu azul bem bonito. Pode ser que a outra tenha um pov melhor mas acho que esta deve chamar mais a atenção. Talvez ficasse melhor sem o candeeiro de cima, mas ele está lá. Gosto, no entanto,da curva do muro. Não conheço esta zona da cidade mas dá-me a ideia que este palácio não deve ser dos mais fáceis!

Hi Jose, nice shot but comparing to other fantastic photos of yours that's a modest one but still has a documentary value with your informative note. As a fan of Alentejo, I like this kind of views. But I do prefer center and southern parts of Alentejo, which have a different atmosphere. Best regards, Tolga

Such a splendid shot of the palace overlooking the valley. You captured it nicely here with the light control to contrast well with blue sky. Well placed position of the palace.

You have a nice contrast colours here and of course the perfect weather adds point to the subject..maybe just suggest to include whole the wall street on the bottom side. Anyway i like this shot and thanks too for the note.

Olá José,
yellow in green with a blue sky as background. Very nice colour contrasts and the wall of concrete makes the line for depth. The sharpness seem to be at the right point, as the little tower and the tiles are very much detailed, especially the tiles could nearly be counted.

Olá José,
Esta foto de certo modo confirma, ou melhor, contrapõe, o que escrevi a propósito da anterior.
Ao contrário da anterior, aqui sabemos bem que vamos olhar para o palácio e além disso está bem localizado ou enquadrado, ou seja, vemos o muro, a verdura e a cidade e a montanha ao fundo. Não se perdia nada era mostrar um pouco mais a rua, ou um pedaço da rua, quiçá até ao eixo da via.

Da minha parte já sabes, estás à vontade; não dou pontos nem estou à espera de receber em troca. Mas é claro que fico contente com umas palavrinhas sobre as minhas fotos, mesmo que sejam poucas :-) E frequentemente fico mais satisfeito com as críticas negativas do que com as "positivas".

Linda fotografia, amigo. Tenho reparado que vocês aí gostam muito dessa máquina (Olympus E300) e lente Zuiko 4-45). è muito dificil produzir boas fotos com esse equipamento?
