Castelo de Vide irrompe numa fresca colina da Serra de São Mamede, por entre as densas matas de oliveiras e soutos. A airosa vila, já chamada de "Sintra do Alentejo", é um museu vivo que concentra relíquias seculares de inolvidável beleza. No centro da vila encontra-se a Igreja Matriz de Santa Maria da Devesa, é um templo vastíssimo, porventura o maior do Alto Alentejo e encontra-se situada no extremo Oeste da Praça D. Pedro V.
