Photographer’s Note

Castelo de Vide is a attractive village with lots of fascinating architectural character. Sitting on the northern edge of the Serra de São Mamede it is a popular place for passing tourists due to its natural welcoming charm and the claimed healing powers of its Spa waters. Within the castle walls there stands the 17th Century Capela de Nossa Senhora da Alegria that also contains attractive tiles of the same period. The old part of Castelo de Vide has lots of character with small typical houses of the region lining the steep very narrow cobbled streets. This is the Judiaria Quarter and on the corner of one of these streets there still stands a 13th Century synagogue. Many of these modest homes together with the grander houses have door and window surrounds artistically worked in the local granite. The church of Salvador do Mundo is also from the 13th Century but it underwent some interior changes in the 18th Century amongst which is the addition of some attractive tiles.
To the south is Marvão, another very attractive fortified location that is perched on a spectacular ridge some 862 mts. above sea level.

o que mais gostei nessa imagem sua foi o contraste entre a natureza e o rubano, porém em perfeita harmonia nessa imagem sua. Bela foto.

olá, fotografia muito bonita desta vila. ainda há bem pouco estive a ver fotografias desta parte de portugal e fiquei cheio de vontade de lá ir fazer um passeio! esta serve tambem para aguçar o apetite!!! abraço pedro

Hello Julio, the light is excellent in your shot and the POV very well chosen. I like the vertical composition and the different levels in your shot, the houses, the forest and the sky. The red colored roof tops of the houses make nice contrast with the relaxing green. Thanks for sharing.

Olá Júlio,

Gosto deste ponte de vista que "apanha" a Vila de Castelo de Vide com os montes a montante. A luminosidade é muito boa e faz realçar os brancos com qualidade das casas.Não percebo porque escolheste um formato tão reduzido,ficaria melhor com medidas máximas, melhor ângulo de visão no monitor.

Uma bela perspectiva do casario da vila encavalitada na encosta verdejante e com o 'bónus' de Marvão lá ao fundo. Execelente enquadramento e cores.

Esta vila é muito bonita vista do castelo , ficamos com um belo plano dela rodeada de arvores , gostei muito do contraste entre o vermelho e o verde,bons detalhes, parabéns!!!

é um pov que privilegia o contraste entre o urbano e a floresta. Um pov que incluísse a igreja principal seria mais vistoso, porém, mais comum. O contraste entre a alvura das casas e o vermelho dos telhados com o verde da mata está muito bom.
