This is my 9th post of this area, which I find quite photogenic, although I feel that I have a long way to go until I can explore its potential effectively. I am aware that a little bit of planning and some early awakenings would help much. 8-)
As it is irritatingly usual, I forgot to include a bit more of FG and I think it would have been wise to have more space on the left, but I am still a rookie in this stitching thing and I tend to be wrong thinking that I did more than enough shots to produce a good panorama.
I posted two WS's with alternative views [1, 2]. I truly don't know which one I prefer.
I was returning to the home of my parents-in-law after I had been in Castelo de Vide when I noticed the amazing light and sky, so I decided to take my chance.
The image is a stitch of 4 horizontal shots taken with tripod and stitched with Hugin.
The lake seen partly seen here is a dam that was one the earliest large hydroelectric power plants in Portugal, although it is tiny for today's standards. It was built between 1926 and 1928.

As you know, you are becoming stitching expert. You did an extraordinary study for error free job that makes your your frame an excellent one. Fantastic textures on sky and its reflection on water surface are really amazing. The colors and sharpness are perfect all over frame. I liked also your "#1: Alternative view" complementary post too because shows more water.
Parabéns e Abraço!

Good morning Jose,
very nice panoramic shot with the Winter twilight to be spread in the whole scene.I like the specific colour of the bushes as the little ponds that pertained to the dam as the reflections of the sky in it.Well done.
Have a nice day,Danos

Hi Jose, it looks like a landscape from another planet. The large version is much better -in my opinion- which alows us to see the details of the texture. A few months ago I passed very near to this dam, on my way to Castelo da Vide.
Best regards. Tolga

Jose, this is great, it like you cloned the sky to the suface of the pond, the color shift is so small that it is fantastic and the LP works well for this one.

Hi Jose,
4 images, not bad at all on the stitching, seems flawless without lines, good work you did here. Seeing the other two there is no question which one i prepfer, it's this one. It's wide, it's open, it has a great view.
First i thought the colours could be better, more deeper contrast and saturation, like i always do on mine, but looking longer i'm not really sure. Also this softer version har it's charme. Looks a very peaceful and serene area, no need for hard colours in there. The composition is right through the middle, on purpose, or is this the best you had here?
Whatever, the view itself looks great...nice work.
Regards,
Henk

I think you chose the best of the three versions, although I do agree with you a bit more fg in front of the pond would have been better. Have you tried doing vertical shots for stitching? Admittedly you need more images but you get more depth and the finished image is not so narrow. The stitching is immaculate and the detail in the LV is incredible. I'm not surprised you felt compelled to stop the car to take the shots. The cloud reflections are stunning and the red plants add a wonderful extra colour.
I'm surprised you got such good quality in the LV as it is very big. When I did one once I had to reduce the dimensions as the high compression had degraded the image noticeably.

Hi Jose,
nice panorama, I especially like the sky and the reflections on the water. The stitch is flaweless and the image quality very good. A nice panorama, which is especially enjoyable in the large version, nice!
Take care

ricardo
