Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries) is a monument that celebrates the Portuguese who took part in the Age of Discovery, or the Age of Exploration, of the 15th and 16th centuries. It is located on the estuary of the Tagus river in the Belém parish of Lisbon, Portugal, where ships departed to their often unknown destinations.

The monument consists of a 52 metre-high slab of concrete, carved into the shape of the prow of a ship. The side that faces away from the river features a carved sword stretching the full height of the monument. It was conceived by Portuguese artists, architect Cottinelli Telmo and sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida as a temporary beacon of the Portuguese World Fair in 1940. The Monument to the Discoveries represents a romantic idealisation of the Portuguese past that was typical during the regime of dictator Salazar. Wikipedia

Olá Aires!
Apesar das "sujeirinhas" na parte superior da foto, esta é uma das mais bonitas que já vi deste local, daquela orla Lisboeta que me encantou muito!
A silhueta do monumento e a luz e as cores do resto da imagem foram magnificamente compostas nesse formato vertical! Gostei muito!

A night trip are often very pleasant when you can work in a safty area.

Hi Aires! This is a very atmospheric composition. I like the golden light and view with sky and silhouettes good contrast, very good exposure POV, very nice light management, and capture ideal shot.

Olá Aires. Mesmo com com os problemas referidos está ma foto muito boa. Gosto bastante da silhueta do monumento e das cores do sol poente. Também a diagonal do muro dá um grande dinamismo à foto. Bom trabalho. Um abraço. PAulo

Oi amigo ,
Ficou bem bonita a silhueta da Torre dos Descobrimentos , a linha do horizonte quase ficou certa com a base da torre , gostei muito do céu ,bom uso da foto na vertical , andas com o sensor sujo ? , parabéns!!
