Photographer’s Note
This was taken at the Palácio da Pena in Sintra, Portugal. It looked like part of a jigsaw puzzle. The contrast the two primary colors also add to this interesting view of the steps. I feel that the photo comes close to capturing what I really saw. What I really like is how even in the photo you can see the blue sky reflected in the large center window above the stairs.
Perhaps I could have stepped back a bit and photographed more of the sky to really add a third contrasting color.

I liked this shot a lot. The graphism and the colors are charming. Also the tissue of the building is very well captured.Like a painting too.
