Photographer’s Note
Dear TE friends
THANKS A LOT by the WORKSHOPS and the CRITIQUES, today !
Taking in consideration those WS, I did for the first time the correction of perspective with the software.
You can see the WS from me and others TE friends
Another note .... about polarizer filter. I didn't use the filter correctly, but in future, I will take in consideration the level of polarizing.

Hi TE friends,
Last weekend, I was visiting the Palace of Queluz. In front of that one, I found this wonderful building.
I'll show you the beautiful Palace of Queluz
Enjoy it and have a nice day !
The Pousade de Queluz / Lisbon, D. Maria I, is a historic luxury hotel located in the building formerly used by the Royal Guard of the Court in the Palace of Queluz, known as the "Portuguese Versailles".
Besides the palace, there are in Queluz some other interesting places that can have the attention of the first visitors, as some megalithic monuments (about 2500 bC) and some buildings from the centuries XIV, XVII and XVIII. Around the old nucleus of the city started to appear some villas and houses that used to be summer houses in the beginner of this century.
The Pousada hotel privileged location, about 5 km from Lisbon, 14 km from Sintra and 20 km from Cascais, the attractive interior design and exacting recuperation of its little private "theatre", combines with the exquisite cuisine of the Cozinha Velha Restaurant.
****

Hello Aires
The architecture is well composed, I like the way the steeple leans over. The sky is great and the muted feel captures the mood perfectly. Well done and thanks for the informative note.

Hello Aires, I've visited this palace for several times on the occasion of some ceremonies. From the outside, the palace is not noticable. But from inside, it is marvellous. Especially the main room. I put another photo in the WS. Including the horses. I hope you'll like it :) Regards, Tolga

Good morning Dip
A very dramatic composition indeed. I like the convergent left side that creates a looming effect and the POV that so nicely includes this beautiful building. The playful sky in the bg really adds to its beauty.

Oi Aires,

Ola Aires,
Nice building but I find lately your images lack some highlights, maybe you have changed something on your pc, in any case always check the histogramm to find out if your image has a problem. Perspective correction in the WS is okay on the left but too much on the right.

Ciao Aires,

Ola Aires,
About technicalities: the distorted perspective doesn't
bother me much as I know the photo was taken at lens's
wide angle - BUT, what might bother me here is a wee too strong
result of using the polariser: the clouds became more blue
than white and, actually, all the white areas in the frame
look as if there's a blue haze covering them. So, I'm
just warning you to pay a little bit more attention when
applying polariser (or to somehow 'soften' the polarising
effect later in editing). I like the angle here - not
shot from the front, but back instead. And from your
note, this seems to be a place well worth visiting, if
nothing else but than to stop by and have a good meal!
(I'm sorry, but I'm always hungry for a delicious
Portuguese food!)
;-D
Many thanks,
Robi

Hola Aires.
I agree with JY and some other friends that something changed in your previous shot of the palace and this one, i don't care much about the distortion in this shot, this is an optical illusion produced by the wide angle, this happens to all of us, and isn't difficult to fix it, what really call my attention is that in the last two photos there is something missing, something different, some lack of light, maybe because the use of polarizer filter, this shot looks dull, without much live.
Kath (feather) sent me by email how to fix the distortion in Photoshop, if you want i can send it to you, is very well explained and easy to do.
Best wishes my good friend.

The deep blue sky with its clouds make for a good BG on which the pink palace(it looks like a church)stands out well! Not always easy to correct the perspective, but good you tried it ;)

Eu demorei bastante tempo a apanhar o jeito.
