Oeiras Yachting Harbour
Situated in Oeiras, next to the much appreciated Oceanic Swimming Pool, the Oeiras Yachting Harbour is a recent structure dotted with the most diversified facilities, in a place of great natural beauty.

The harbour has the capacity in water for 274 berths and on land has 100 places in an area of 4500 square meters.

The area that once was almost abandoned, suffered a great requalification, and is nowadays a wonderful leisure site, offering Restaurants and bars, a Press shop, a Convenience store and Nautical material stores, among others, such as the Car Parking lot with capacity for 250 vehicles.

Oeiras is a civil parish and a municipality in western Lisbon Metropolitan Area. It is in conurbation with Lisbon, the parish population is 34,850, and the entire Oeiras municipality has 168,475 inhabitants. The town (vila) of Oeiras is one of the most populous towns in Portugal. Located by the end of the mouth Tagus river (rio Tejo), across from Almada, in the Greater Lisbon Area.

It has several industrial and commercial facilities, being also home of SIC and TVI, two leading private Portuguese television networks. Many large multinational companies have offices in Oeiras making it one of the wealthiest municipalities in Europe. Netjets is headquartered there. Nestlé, Microsoft, Cisco, General Electric and Nokia are other companies that have facilities in the area, among many others. MIPS Technologies recently bought Oeiras based company Chipidea. It is also well known by Taguspark (a science and technology park), the Jamor (where the National Stadium is located), and also by the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (a private research institution). A major NATO command (Joint Command Lisbon) and a maritime academy - Escola Náutica Infante D. Henrique - are located in the area. The Estação Agronómica Nacional of the National Agronomy and Fishing Investigation Institute, located also in Oeiras, is a state-run national centre of agrarian research.

Esplêndida foto com essa profusão de cores em um fundo monocromático.Aqui temos nossa Oeiras, uma cidade antiga que foi a primeira capital do estado. O nome acredito que se deve à influência portuguesa .

blue, red and white - these bright colours make the picture very lively :) Very good composition. The diagonal line going across the picture leads the look towards the distant objects in the FG. I like to see white boats on the blue water :)

Very well composed diagonal walkway of this marina view. I find the orderly arrangement of the boats to be giving this POV a nice impression of the afternoon view and with a good reflection on the calm water.

Even though I think the pp work on saturation is strong, the overall picture is pleasant to look at.

Olá Aires, tens aqui uma perspectiva fabulosa de um local muito meu conhecido. Tecnicamente está perfeito e as cores estão magníficas. O azul é predominante mas é um prazer descobrir o amarelo ou o vermelho que saltam pontualmente aqui ou ali. Parabéns.

This is a well composed shot using the dock to create a diagonal through the shot. The diagonal leads the eye through the scene giving the photo an excellent sense of direction. The lighting and colors are outstanding with excellent sharpness and detail.

I went down to Auckland's very own harbour yesterday to have a look at some of the boats on offer (not to buy though) but didn't come home with any photos. I went to this harbour back last year but never got any photos again, purely because I didn't take it up by that time. Wonderful lighting has generated superb colours and contrasts with the reds and blues combining nicely. The orange in the BG throws weight into the image and I like the jetty cutting into thw image which was a good composition on your part. Excellent work on your part Aires.

Hello Aires,
Very nice place. Light previous the evening was still on so much good, that he had superbly copied colours. Pleases to me the partition of the picture, and the sloping line of the foot-bridge dynamizing photo. High masts of sailing boats from the right side profitably liquidate the symmetry. Polarization filter magnificently brought to life contrasts and did away the part of unprofitable lights afloat. Very good sharpness!

Lots of fine details and I notice the rich colours!
The pier makes a fine diagonal element in the composition, and the maritime feeling is well conveyed...
The red details add a fine colour contrast in all the blue!
