Photographer’s Note

Bio-diesel
It is a form of fuel from vegetable oil, mainly sunflower oil and rape-seed.
Bio-diesel is a renewable form of energy and therefore an alternative to traditional fuels such as diesel, which are not renewable.Because polluting exhaust emissions are lower.
Because it reduces carbon dioxide emission and this is the greenhouse gas which is changing the world’s climate.
Because it stimulates the development of agriculture in the most arid rural areas, creating jobs and preventing depopulation.
Because it reduces the country’s dependence on imported fuels and the loss of foreign currency reserves spent on importing crude oil
Bio-diesel can be used in diesel engines, mixed with diesel itself (generally at the rate of 5 to 30%) or it can be used pure.
Small changes may be needed to engines according to the percentage used in the mixture and the engine type / constructor.

The sunflower as FG subject gives a good color contrast to the 3 blocks of buildings and you have posted this Note just appropriate when crude oil price soars incredibly high globally. Nice work.

Olá Gonçalo,
bem oportuna essa imagem, principalente nessa crise de combustível e aquecimento global em que vivemos, aqui no Brasil o uso de Biocombustíveis já é bem difundido, quase toda a frota de veículos novos são de carros Flex (podem usar gasolina/alcool ou uma mistura de ambos), além do biodiesel, só que aqui é usado um óleo extraído de mamonas. Achei curiosa essa plantação de girassóis no meio desses prédios. Gostei das cores da imagem também.

I did not see this photo and just saw the next one, clicked on the link and arrived here.
With no doubt, I prefer this coloured version. These sunflowers are superb!
Although yellow is not my favourite colour, these sunflowers are are among my favourites flowers. Interesting note to accompany them.

Quer então dizer que as flores de girassol estão novamente a alegrar a parte alta de Oeiras. Esses campos ficam muito mais bonitos do que aquilo que estavam em Dezembro. E quem é que faz essa plantação?
E este aqui em primeiro plano a rir-se para nós está lindo. As cores estão excelentes assim como o está o teu PdV.

perfecto encuadre con este fuerte contraste de los girasoles sobre los edificios del fondo de la imagen, que tiene un gran grafismo. Naturaleza sobre arquitectura.
El color amarillo tan brillante es perfecto y se combina muy bien con los tonos verdes y el azul del cielo.
Excelente foto, acompañada de una buena nota.

Estive, pela primeira vez, neste campo de girassois onte á tarde. É bonito ver um campo deste no meio de uma cidade. Esta foto está excelente e o enquadramento ideal. Tambem deve colocar uma deste local um dia destes mas de outro angulo

Muito boa foto, Gonçalo. O ângulo escolhido é ótimo para elevar a beleza desses girassóis. Gosto mais desta do que da seguinte, com dessaturação, simplesmente pelo fato de que não há hada mais bonito do que o contraste entre as cores azul e amarelo.
