Photographer’s Note

Photo made in the zone of Leceia, to the deep one we can see buildings are offices in the horizon we have the Sintra Mountain in clean days we can sight the Pena Palace .

The trees that if they see in front of the buildings can see in this another one my photo but of the opposing angle - One day of Autumn -

Leceia and a small village but has one of the most important archaeological stations of its género in the Peninsula Iberian its age surrounds about 4000 years.
It´s made of a strenghtened town, whose traced of its walls it seems to obey a singular strategy of defense. On the other hand, possess three lines of walls, more or less concentrical in relation to the zone more protected and defended by the cliff where if it implants.
In such a way the possible aggressors, who in principle would have only the side plainest to be able to force the entrance in the town, came across with three strong obstacles, until being able to reach the last redoubt. On the other hand, the exterior defensive line that defines the perimeter most extensive of the town has, beyond the walls, diverse stockings towers. Its utility well is not defined, but it can be speculated on, for the fact of some to have entered in the exterior but without linking to the interior of the blockhouse, that they intended to deceive the assailants, who penetrating in the towers would be imprisoned easy for the defenders placed in the high one of the wall. A museum installed in the Plant of the Powder shows beyond the many parts found in the hollowings, a scale model with the reproduction of what it would be this town at the time of bigger use.

Beautiful shot. The hint of clouds adds some nice depth to the sky and the high f-number ensures just the right DOF for this kind of landscape shot. The white flowers in the foreground really stand out as well so you definitely chose the right spot to take the picture from.

O processamento está um bocado forte mas ao mesmo tempo as cores estão muito atractivas. Nunca reparei que existem estes campos de trigo em Leceia. E passava por lá todos os dias quando trabalhava na Barcarena. Mas isso já foi há 22 anos!!!

Wonderful mixture of wheat and poppies. Here, in France, the wheat is still completely green! The composition, very simple just with the hills of Sintra to bring some relief, gives a great importance for colors and for the long perspective.

Hi, Goncalo. A very nice foreground with those poppies and daisies standing out against the wheat. The buildings in the middle of the picture contrast with the rural foreground and divide the two main parts of the image. Good light.

C'est de plus en plus rare de voir des fleurs pousser dans les champs cultivés les agriculteurs utilisant des herbicides sélectifs. J'apprécie ces touches de couleurs dans le premier plan. Beau travail !

Uma vista bucólica esplendorosa, que dificilmente se associa aos arredores próximos de Lisboa, seja pela seara, seja pela planície. O pormenor dos malmequeres em 1º plano está a matar e é um prazer para os olhos percorrer a seara dourada e pintalgada de papoilas debaixo daquele céu azulão.

Très jolie photo printanière et excellente perspective. Le bel éclairage met bien en valeur ce champ fleuri et beau contraste avec le merveilleux ciel bleu. L'avant plan est superbe avec les quelques marguerites blanches qui ajoutent une touche de beauté à la photo.

This is a beautiful shot Goncalo, and I like how you divided the frame more or less equally into two.
Just a thought - if you'd got down a bit lower you might have been able to exclude those buildings on the horizon.
