Photographer's Note

The most noteable Lisbon's icon, Torre de Belém, a monument to Portugal's discoveries era in the 15th and 16th century.
Built in 1515 as a fortress to guard the entrance to Lisbon's port, and was a taking-off location for the discovery's voyages .

An interesting piece of old architecture!
I guess it is from buildings like this Walt Disney found inspiration for Disneyland hehehe...

Very beautiful image with this beautiful tower, the presence of people makes the picture very much alive and gives the proportions of the same, the tree next to the tower adds a touch of color and charm.

Hi Ike,

The trees are helping to frame the fortress. The distance between the piece of cement and the fortress is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is allowing me to see the details and colors of the architecture of the fortress. The afternoon light is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Good evening Ike,
picturesque photograph of the fortress, nice and clear view, saturated colours and great location against the blue sky. Like how tree is partly covering a part of the tower, creating nice colour contrast. People in the foreground gives nice depth feeling and dimensions comparison of the fortress.
Out of 3 versions of this fortress I like # 2 the most as it gives wide, unobstructed view of the fortress and a piece of the ocean in the back, also a couple is a good addition.
Very well done.

this is a different classic pov of this very famous monument, that is the symbol of portugal. this tree in the foreground produced a nice dialogue with the shapes of the tower. nice idea include the people around
