Photographer's Note

The Night in Lisbon (German: Die Nacht von Lissabon) is a novel by Erich Maria Remarque published in 1962. It revolves around the plight of two German refugees in the opening months of World War II. It is the story of one refugee telling his story to another during the course of a single night in Lisbon. The story he recounts is mainly a romantic one, and also contains a lot of action with arrests, escapes and near-misses. The novel is very realistic, Remarque was himself a German refugee (although the novel is entirely fictional), and provides excellent insight into refugee life in Europe during the early days of the war.

nights in Lisbon are always charming and vibrant.I like this one.Well framed scene taken on the late blue hour.Good sharpness,exposure and pleasant colors.

Oooh this is such a striking Blue Hour (or maybe purple hour?). It contrasts beautifully with the golden tones and the bookmark cut suits the narrow little alleyway so well. A dynamic and inviting scene, thanks for sharing.

Hello Daniel,
Good capture of this night shot. No blurr and no ISO is the main quality of this photo which attracts a lot. The wet road is becomming attractive as light spots are shining at many places. Good architecture at both sides of road.

think about it, how often do we get to see bright greens contrasted by bright blue hours.
