Photographer's Note

Gare do Oriente or Lisbon Orient Station is one of the main transport hubs in Lisbon. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and built by Necso. It was finished in 1998 for the Expo '98 world's fair in Parque das Nações, where it is located.
It encompasses a Lisbon Metro station, a high-speed, commuter and regional train hub, a local, national and international bus station, a shopping centre and a police station.

The station bears considerable resemblance to Calatrava's earlier Allen Lambert Galleria within Toronto's Brookfield Place. Some influence from Gothic architecture can also be found.

Oriente Station is one of the world's largest stations, with 75 million passengers per year which makes it as busy as Grand Central Terminal in New York.

when I visited Gara do Oriente I had not so much time to enjoy the hunt for particular POV.
I like the way you combined shadows and geometries....

A well composed image featuring this futuristic railway station. I like the point of view and the lead-line offered by the foreground shadows. The people are well included, giving the image a sense of scale.

This train station have become famous here on TE, but your presentation is fresh and original.

I like the play of light, shadow and transparency, plus the monochromatic theme and geometric composition.

The inclusion of people is a nice detail.

I was surprised to see this place a few years ago. I had no idea there was anything like this in Lisbon and was quite impressed. Actually the whole area around this station was interesting. You have captured the rounded and angled shapes very well and used the contrasts of light and darkness cleverly.
