this photo was taken near estoril beach as well. I have been trying to find history behind this building, but havent found anything!when you get close to it, and see the faces, you really think they have come alive adn are hauthing you! they looks like the joker in away.
i am interested in any history of this place if anyone can help....was just told, the place is called Cavalariças Santos Jorge. i found this text in portuguese., will try yo translate with teh little portuguess i know: it is the building Cavalariças Santos Jorge made bu teh architect Norte junior in 1914. ROmantic era, it has a sense of something exoticand rich...somthing like this (O edifício das cavalariças de Santos Jorge foi projectado pelo Arquitecto Norte Júnior em 1914. De concepção romântica, possui um gosto apurado e exótico, o que o torna decorativamente muito rico.)
