The Municipal Museum (Castro Guimarães Museum)
Situated in one of the most sought after areas of the town, where the sea appears to be trying to reach the Gandarinha Park, is the Counts of Castro Guimarães Palace, whose medieval castle overlooks the Santa Marta Cove. The Palace was donated to the local authority in 1924, when it became a Museum. It is worth a prolonged visit, not only for its unusual architecture, but also for its wealth of art and archaeology. You can appreciate works of art by national and international artists, some of them depicting Cascais and rich Indo-Portuguese furniture. The library was constantly replenished and updated, and has over twenty five thousand books, some of them from the XVII century,

Hi Gabriel, A nice PoV for this picture. I like the contrast you have managed to get between the sunny side and shading side to this picture. Nice contrast against the sky to show the special design of the architecture. Good depth and nice details.

BOnita arquitcture y muy bonito angulo. LA foto esta muy bien compuesta aunque la luz es muy dura, deberias de tratar de reducir los highlights y la luz.

Justo en el instante en el que estaba saliendo de TE veo aparecer tu foto!

El POV es excelente y me gusta mucho la manera en la cual el edificio "llena" la imagen. La exposiciòn (contraste, brillo, tonos) se ve muy bien, al igual que el enfoque y rango dinámico.

Barbaro contraste de condiciones. Por un lado descuidado al punto de negligencia, mas el edificio en si en perfecto estado. Me encanta la presentacion de la arquitectura. Me parece que la distorcion de la perspectiva se puede arreglar... pero tambien la distorcion acentua lo inusual de la arquitectura misma. Gracias por compartir.

Bonjour Gabriel,
Cet édifice paraît idéalement placé près de la mer dans un endroit ombragé des grands arbres environnants. Ce Palais ressemble à un château médiéval et semble veiller sur cette petite crique où la mer s'est retirée (le jour de la photo).
La richesse de la bibliothèque doit être un véritable trésor pour celui qui aime lire, chercher, apprendre, etc.
Une très bonne photographie, Gabriel, avec une excellente note d'accompagnement.

Perdoname lo atrasado que estoy en ver tus fotos, es debido al exceso de trabajo.
Aqui nos presentas una muy buena fotografia con el edificio muy bien encuadrado, excelentes detalles y un buen POV. Me gusta le iluminacion y el foco.

Good photo of this fantastic place, Gabriel; that is a place I know very well, because I spent there all my youth (I have also, of course, several photos of it). Curoiusly, my mother (she died in 1970), who was a classical pianist (disciple of Viana da Mota, a famous portuguese composer), played there several times when I was a little boy, so that place has a special meaning to me.
This is a good perspective with very good DOF, natural colours and good light, so it is a good work!
