Photographer's Note

Between land and sea, along a strip of land in constant change with he passing of the years, human intervention has gradually settled into the most varied types of inhabitation. From the seventeenth century until now the superimposing of different intentions for this spot, the material and technological resources of the moment and availability of the inherited patrimony have all contributed to a succession of adaptations and additions. Notwithstanding this, the complex encompasses architectural units whose reading is unequivocal, units laid out according to still-clear organisational principals. The state of adulteration and decadence of one part of the complex is the result of a process of natural selection that the project design tries to turn to its favour. Identifying the elements of greater perdurability or greater poetic charge, the proposal reconstructs with, and out of, these a basic order that both encompasses the memory of passing time and makes a new use visible.

an interesting POV you got here. This makes a good composition.
a pity though there are not more details in the rocks in the foreground, so I tried to correct this slightly in PSE, I hope you don't mind?

There is a beautiful rhythmic balance in this photograph. The sharp craggy land mass - the sea water, the tall white and blue light house (?)and the huge white shed beside it .... brings out a patterned organisation in the picture.
The small black mould - half in light, in the bottom foreground of the photograph, is a contrast to the tall white and blue tower in the background.
The right hand side of the photograph is almost totally dominated by the rough black rock - a natural creation - that in perspective - even towers over the human construction in the picture. The heap of rocks in the midle left of the photograph serves as a balance between the artificial and natural.

Bien que le premier plan rocheux soit un peu sombre, tu as réussi là une jolie composition pour mettre en vedette ce phare se détachant bien sur ce ciel bleu.

Hello Daniel,

It is obvious that you have thought carefully about the composition of this shot. I like how you have positioned the lighthouse into the gap in the f/g rocks, with the tower part continuing from the rock stack.
Lovely contrasts between light and shadow.

A great shot. I like the way the rock in the foreground frames the lighthouse. You have managed the light well too with the difficult exposure of the darker foreground and the brighter side lighting of the lighthouse and blue sky.
