Natural Park Sintra Cascais

The Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais was created in March of 1994, and includes the area parallel to the coastal stretch from Cidadela in Cascais to the River Falcão, and the Sintra Mountain Range to the agricultural area in Colares.
The main purpose of this Park is to keep safe the fauna and flora of this blessed region.
The Park is divided in two distinct zones: the agricultural zone that produces especially fruit and wine, and the coastal zone, with its beautiful beaches, cliffs and dunes.
The Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais presents an amazing diversity of environments and landscapes, including dunes, forests, ponds, a beautiful coastline with sculpted rocky cliffs that put together astonishing beaches, the imposing westernmost point of the European continent Cabo da Roca, and, in the centre, the magnificent Sintra’s Mountain Range and all the area classified by the UNESCO as World’s Heritage.
In the territory of the Park diverse species of oaks prosper, as well as eucalyptus and pine trees and all the exuberant vegetation of Sintra’s mountain range.
The Park’s Fauna is also very diversified, and one can easily come across birds of prey such as falcons, owls or hawks and also maritime birds like seagulls and Procellariidae, several reptiles and amphibious species like salamanders and toads, and, of course, a great variety of mammals, such as vixens, moles and hedgehogs.
The Park is located next to the huge Lisbon metropolis, and amazingly, it has been able to preserve all the compelling territory of the westernmost point of the European continent and to harmoniously coexist with Nature and the human presence in a territory so looked-for construction, that has been suffering over the years a demolishing economical and technical evolution.

your very low viewpoint creates aq great perspective full of interest and showing great detail near the ground. the colours are rich and well saturated, especially the lovely blue sky. the glimpse of the mountains in the background are a great addition.

Only the wonderful sky and the flowery meadow in this simple composition . But I like it . And the piece of fence on the left is an attractive element for the eyes , as the mountain in the far .

Hello Goncalo,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the wide nature park with peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. A spring flower like a dandelion blooms all over, and it harmonizes with beautiful green field well. And, the blue sky with randam clouds is balanced well with this nature field.

I can imagine you on your knees taking this shot but the low pov works well to capture the details of the daisies before our eyes travel across the vast grassland towards the distant mountains. A lovely natural green and blue composition.

Hello Goncalo,

I like the way the frame is divided into two parts. The top portion is beautiful with blue sky and the bottom is full of nature with grassy plants and flowers. Excellent depth with natural colors and sharpness.

un ciel magnifique,
c'est si bien de pouvoir jouer avec les courbes des lumières quand ces dernières sont presque parfaites au départ.
Une photo de la nature où les couleurs jouent un grand rôle, des blancs parfaitement exposés, une agréable sensation de chaleur et de calme.

qué bonita escena primaveral nos ofreces en esta foto. Me gusta cómo has organizado la composición, en un encuadre dividido en dos partes muy diferentes, una con el campo y las flores, y la otra con el cielo azul bien decorado con unas nubes preciosas.
El conjunto tiene una gran belleza, que has captado perfectamente.
