Photographer's Note

Today I'm posting a photo of a plain, just a little piece of the wide plains we have in the Alentejo, where it's possible to drive or walk for many kilometres without seeing a living soul, the plains where sometimes even the trees are rare, the plains where the cereals grow up, giving the fields an incredible golden colour when the hot summer comes. I've taken this photo near São Pedro do Corval, a small village quite famous for its typical ceramics. It was taken from a very little road mainly used by locals. In the beginning I thought about making some cropping but then I gave up because it wouldn't probably give the sense of dimension I wanted to show you, the endless fields, the blue sky, the magic of the place and a lonely tree in a so wide area.
