This is another photo of the same church (and the last one for now). It was taken on a different day, different season and different time of the day. Just another pov, to give you a better idea of how it really looks like.
This church is devoted to Nossa Senhora do Loreto, situated within the walls of the Fortress of Juromenha ( a village in the Alentejo). This fortress is situated very close to the Guadiana River and to Spain and what we see today date from several different periods. It has played an important role along its history, especially during the Moorish period. Within the walls, we can still find the ruins of three churches, including this one, dating from the 13th century and devoted to Nossa Senhora do Loreto.

A rather sad, poignant image of ruin. It appears to be a forgotten place, though obviously was once a place of worship. Lovely subdued light and brown tones, lifted by a few suggestions of blue. Good work.

How sad to see this ruin which must have looked magnificent at one time. I like the range of brown tones and the textural detail. The remnants of blue paint suggest how the decoration once was. A lovely image.
Kind Regards, Ann

Ciao e buona serata

devastated, but using a little bit imagination we can see how splendid the interior must have been in the past.
Fine composition! The quality is outstanding, but I have to also mention the soft and warm light giving here so lovely touch of "warmth".
Have a nice evening

C'est un endroit avec beaucoup de caractère, et la photo le met bien en valeur. Belle lumière, qui rehausse les différentes couleurs, une belle profondeur. C'est parfaitement réussi.

Sweet natural light that provides nice tones and enhances details of the texture of this abandoned church. The few pieces of paintings that remains let us guessing the splendor of old times.

Beautifully employed the outside light indoor's.
Old edifice that looks as was under some cleaning work, but not completely rernovated - and this is what makes it so unique and beautiful.
Bom fim de semana,

Superb interior photo with excellent use of natural light. Well captured all details. This must have been a beautiful place in the past. Feel pity to see it in such conditions.
Wish you a very nice weekend.

I find it amazing how much color remains on these old walls, and it gives a wonderful feel as to how this place would have looked in times of worship here. I am more used to ruins being just grey stone walls, all elements of design and art long ago washed away, so this is a beautiful sight for me.
The light is very magical too, flooding in like that from the right creates a wonderful sense of drama.
All the best

yes, i remember this same subject that you posted not too long ago. I liked that one as well.
here we see the scene pulled back a bit.
but we still get to see the sharpness and fine details in the pitted stones.

Interesante espacio interior. A pesar de no haber mobiliario, o quizá debido a ello, resulta muy agradable de ver. Me gusta la textura de las paredes y la iluminación.

This is a beautiful photo, with more frames within the frame and lovely tones and light. It is sad to see these places of worship go to ruins. Thanks for preserving the memory.
